Type the word you want it to say! ie: Twitter help, highlight that word, then copy the url of the actual link into the 6th symbol across (globe with sunglasses) click ok, and your clicky should work!

Thanks for your help Toniq - and I see from your signature that congratulations are in order. I haven't been comping for ages, but I recall that you were having problems conceiving when I was here before, so I am really pleased for you.

I've just received an email to say I am in the short list to win £1000 vouchers but I have a feeling it may be dodgy. I normally use a different email address for comps but sometimes I forget and do use this particular email add. The email reads:

Congratulations! You have just been nominated to be our possible winner!

We are happy to announce that you are one of our lucky three selected to win two shopping vouchers (Argos, Amazon, TOPSHOP, H&M) of a value of £1.000 each:

    1. ???? It list 3 names which i've hidden
    2. ?????
    3. ????

You could be a possible winner of 2x £1.000 vouchers!

    Good Luck!
    Your 1000-Vouchers winner Team

I'd hate to click the link and get a virus on my pc. Should I just ignore it? xx

I got this too, am thinking it is a scam...never heard of 1000-voucher winners...

It looks like I will have to buy Roboform (can't do without it) It's an American website has anyone here bought it?

I think 99.9% of compers must use Roboform.

    It's an invaluable resource!

    Hi
    Got the Comping bug again.
Many years ago, used to subscribe to the Competitors Companion Magazine.
My knowledge is rather limited and hoping someone can help me out with a few queries (my apologies if all this information is on other threads):

    1. Which Comping Sites are recommended and is it worthwhile subscribing to any (i.e. yearly payment)
I have bookmarked: Competitors Companion, The Prize Finder, Competitions Today, Competitions Time & Competition Hunter ?
Not sure about: UKCompetitions & Loquax
Discounted: MyOffers & ResearchOpinionPoll (after joining up)

    2. Little bit worried about having to give out my Mobile No. but have done so on quite a few entries.
Will I get lots of 'Sales Calls' (I have registered my mobile with the Telephone Preference Service)

    3. I appreciate that there are ways of Tracking entries on each Competitions Website, but how do I log entries to ALL Competitons ?
Was thinking of creating a Simple Spreadsheet, but feel sure there must be a little progam somewhere that would do this.

    4. Is there any other important advice I need. I am a Novice at this 'modern comping'

Many thanks and I hope this has worked (My first post on MSE !)

    Wibb62

Thanks a lot Soosieboo & Matryoshka. Great advice and encouragement.
Sorted myself out with a Spreadsheet.
Realised that this is the is the only site/forum I will probably need and got myself underway.
Just one final question if you have the patience:
Do you think that unticking the Newletters, Emails, Third Party Contact, etc mean that you are unlikely to win the competition ?!

It shouldn't make any difference, but I would suggest opening a new email account so that if you miss any boxes or a comp won't let you enter withour agreeing to emails you won't get them into your personal account. Have you read the comping 'sticky' at the top of the board, there's lots of advice in there and this question is covered in more detail.

Hi Everyone, Just need a bit of help! I posted the Inside Soap email competitions yesterday, and theres a competition in there to win £20 and its a caption comp and you enter via email. Ive scanned the picture ready to post the comp but when I go to insert picture its asking for a URL. Is there any way I can share the comp on here or can you only post pictures on here if the picture has come from the Internet? Ive had a look in the comping guide but couldnt really find anything.

    Thanks

    Alison
