I was bombarded with spam emails from netflip for ages - mistakenly, I had tried the unsubscribe button, obviously with no success.
Searched Google, tried different things. In the end I blocked them and, at least, I don't see their spam.
They're a pain in the neck!0 -
I think it is a good idea, but I know that the answer is likely to be no more stickies. If ever I stumble across a site that lists effort ones separately. then I will let you know. I do think that you are more likely to win if effort of some description is required, even if it is only a short slogan.
The guessedenddate seems to have caught on and even if the OP does not add this to the first post, I see that experienced compers will often bump the post to add it. If it could be implemented, perhaps something similiar could be implemented for effortrequired, so that experienced compers bump to add this?0 -
I'm sure this has been asked before because I remember someone giving an answer at some point but:
For Facebook competitions where the promoters don't bother messaging or emailing the winners, is there a foolproof way to search posts for your name and ensure you don't miss a prize?
For example: If you look at [URL="http://https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/3605235competition[/URL] they have just announced winners' names on their wall and don't appear to have messaged them. If I search any of those names in Facebook search and then look at public posts that post doesn't show up. I have also tried a few sites such as socialmention.com but nothing seems to work. Is there a way to find these results or do lots of people miss out on prizes because companies don't bother informing winners directly?
Thanks0 -
You can type your name at this URL, adding winner or congratulations, and it brings up your name.

have been entering quite a few twitter comps in the last few days & I'm getting (genuine) emails from twitter saying my account may have been compromised - have checked my tweets & they have be sent by me , so assuming a fairly high rate of retweets is doing it - anyone else getting this?proud gran to 4 lovely boys and one little girl0

Thanks for replying. I'm still not sure whether that site is foolproof though. If I search the winners' names from the competition I mentioned (the Motorpoint one) that post does not show up in a search so that site may not display every post. I also can't work out how to arrange it in date order (most recent first). Some of those names have several pages of results.
I guess there probably isn't a perfect search website. I just wish companies would make the effort to message winners. I must like hundreds of pages on Facebook, there is no way I can read every single status update from every page.0 -
I'm sure I read that Companies are no longer allowed to 'message' people on Facebook and have to contact them by other means......or perhaps it was the other way aroundLuck is believing you’re lucky – Tennessee Williams

Have they now taken Marketing to a new level? My phone has just rung, I answered it almost immediately (OH is on nights and is asleep), only to hear a phone ringing. Then I got a recorded voice which said something like "Hello, this is the Daily Mail, it's nothing to worry about. We are sorry that we could not talk to you but will call you back in a day or two"!!!!
And you'll find me here on the edge of my seat........NOT!Luck is believing you’re lucky – Tennessee Williams

I have not had any messages and I too have a fairly high rate of retweets.0 -
I am using IE8 and have not been able to get to the last page of Regularly updated Take a Break Puzzle for a few days ... just keep getting an error page up. Anyone know why this could be happening and has it been happening to anyone else?
