Part of the Furniture Combo Breaker
I done the same samandmille, i got 3 lip glosses and then 6 deodrants.

I read the previous posts wrong and now reckon that I should have got 6 lip glosses for the 6 deodrants.

They were loads of lip balms on the shelf as well!!!!

Oh well back there in the morning to do it properly.

ok so you clever peeps who ordered online then returned them to the store, don't they go back to the online place??
and how soon did you return them, did you open the box and say i think i don't want these but put them on the shelf i'll come back later?

just didn't have the bottle to do this

what i have sneakily done is buy 2 in one store (only 2 left) and return to another store (only 1 left) and then pop in later to get all 3!!

i was quite blatant and asked if they had any in stock...they said no but could order some in for me....so i said yes...then they asked me to pay for them (to be fair it was still 3for2)...so i asked if it wasok for meto pay, but then when i collect order, ask for a refund so that i could combine them with a different offer (i didnt explain what the offer was though!)...the lovely SA said it was fine and she liked customers to be canny!!! so got the text today to say my order was instore- went to collect but the SA wasnt in, so had to explain to different SA who wasnt as nice...but she agreed to honour it...alltho she did say she couldnt just give me the items to take to the till, as they were 'returned stock of something they didnt stock instore' they had to go back in the storeroom to be returned??? But she just kept hold of them while i got the rest of the stuff, then put them all through the till for me! TBH, it was abit of faffing around...but worth it...and at least i know they can do this sort of thing in the future if a similar glitch arises!!!
hoping for a very MSE Ts glitching 2012!

tbh, i only tried it cos the boots happens to be next to whsmith and opposite Mr T...so while i went looking for goodies and the free lego I thought i'd see if they had any in...and when she offered to order it i just thought, why not? I dont shop in that Boots very often, so even if they had refused or kicked up a storm it wouldnt have been a great loss! I try to be nice in my 'local/regular/nearby' stores!!

altho saying that....i have my eye on a very good phone DTD coming up soon (fiingers crossed it works!!) in my local Mr T! :)

Best to get them instore now anyway as Boots charge £2.95 for instore pickups now :(

I used to order lots of stuff online then pick up from store for free ... But not any more for me & reckon they have lost a fair few customers with this new charging policy!!!

Just wanted to say - I don't think Boots DO charge for in-store pickup or at least I wasn't charged. I wanted 3 Burts Bees bigger shower gels/body washes which weren't in other stores and picked them up, AFAIK but I may check the receipt I wasn't charged for this. ACTUALLY - my order was £20 or over so that was why they were free. Bad Boots making you pay though.

In my local Boots (Wimbledon) the other day - I was getting a few bits - I got:-

    * 3 for 2 on Crunchies
    * free shower gel voucher (sales cashier man went to advantage card machine and printed it out for me!)
    * a few other freebies (3 for 2's) that I didn't realise at the time unless put in trolley/saw. I think another one was pointed out to me - the 3 for 2 beauty stuff etc.

This was at Wimbledon Branch. I think he saw me spending a fair bit and wanted to make me aware of offers so I return there.

So - not all cashiers are meanies!
  • offer still on if you can find the lip balms !
You have to loose sight of the shore sometimes to cross new oceans. ;)
  • I can confirm they charge for delivery to store for orders under £20, judging by the price of burt bees i would have thought you paid over £20 hence free delivery, of course not very good to order in glitches. Ithink it's not a good move for them personally although I have ordered since then the S&G makeup bags which were 75% off the other night but had to order more than I would have normally done to get to the £20 threshold, still i couldn't say no at those prices and that's gifts during the year sorted for the ladies in the family.

    thanks

The offer isn't showing online anymore, but in my local they had a label on the shelves stating it was free with any fcuk purchase, if the sign's up I would say it's good to go :)
