i'm thinking of changing the layout of my lounge, and want to move the TV across the other side of the room.
to do this, do i just need to get a long enough coax cable, and plug it into the booster box then into the TV or is not that simple?
i'm sorry if this sounds a stupid question, but i want to be sure!!

Yes, it is that simple.
But make sure that you get the right type of connector at each end - standard wall-to-TV aerial cables are plug-to-plug, not plug-to-socket.0 -
so... the ariel comes into the house and plugs into a small booster/amplifier box. then another cable is pluged into that box the the other end into the TV. what type of connector do i need?SPC 0370

yes that simple, you need a cable with male Co-Ax on each end of it, as long as you have an aerial box on your wall then that is all you need. Im guessing you are pluging it into a freeview box? as normal terrestrial channel 1-5 is non existing in most of UK now0 -
no freeview box, just into a TV with built in freeview.
do i need a specific type of cable or is this sort of thing fine to use?

Yes, that will do the job.
But you will have to connect a plug to one end of the cable and a socket to the other.
Looks like all you need is included in the bundle.
Connecting the plugs is a bit fiddly, but not difficult.0 -

yes thats it, just like person above said you will have to cut the wires and attach the plugs yourself though which is easy mite take a few times to get the sizes right for the + and - side of wires to fit snug into the coax plugs, you can buy one thats made for you already tho if your not to confordent in attaching the plugs yourself. And have you got a box on the wall with a female socket for the aerial if so buy a premade lead, then some cable clips. SIMPLES lol0 -
You can buy them ready made in different lengths from places such as Wilkinsons Argos etc.0

think i will try and find a cable with male and female already on.
thanks for the advice, very grateful.SPC 0370 -

At the risk of pointing out the obvious, worth checking which gender of plug you need at either end.
You can get all combinations, and a cheap little adapter to change a male to a female and vice-versa.0 -
If you are after a cable that goes from the booster / amplifier box to the television, then it will be male 2 male lead, or also know as a flyleadMansion TV. Avoid at all cost's :j0
