Anyone help with this one, before I go blundering in?

Ordered 2 cases of wine while recent 20% off was available, free delivery & 1000 extra points for spending > £50 on wine.

Due to be delivered today, got answerphone message yesterday saying one of the cases was out of stock, the other could still be delivered, ring them if I had any questions or wanted to cancel. Assumption was the 1 case would still be delivered.

Check account online, shows whole order as cancelled.

Ring CS, confirm that the 1 case will still be delivered.

Phone call today, whole order cancelled, nothing being delivered!

A bit vexed with the misinformation but main thing I want to know now is how do I place a new order and still get at least my 1000 points and, preferably, the free delivery? Have binned the voucher so haven't got the code anymore. Do I contact CS before re-ordering, and if so would phone or email be better (assuming there is an email address)?

    Thanks in anticipation!
  • Order came tonight, only 500 points credited but nice lady on helpline said if I email the invoice that they emailed me(!) showing 500 points and £5 discount they should refund me. Is this ok to do?

    Yes, BUT

I've been trying to tell people who have used this code that, even though it was a mistake, Tesco will honour what the offer looked like it gave you. I've never heard of someone needing to see the invoice as they can check exactly what you've been charged from their end (as well as what the offer should be giving you), but maybe you spoke to someone who had had a long day - so when you do that someone else will have to deal with it.

I'd be tempted to call again and say your email is down and you can't email it to them. Tell them to check from their end and hopefully they'll do that (they should!). Then they will see that the £5 discount hasn't been applied and will sort that for you.

I've always said about emails - easy to put off until later, but if you call usually it'll be sorted straight away.

Anybody know if there is a new codes thread? The old one appears to be closed.
