    Hi all.

Booskyeboo (lovely name!) - welcome to you. We all have the 'edit', 'quote', 'report' under our own posts. The 'edit' is for when we want to alter something that we have posted ourselves - click into it and it opens up your own post for editing; the 'thanks' is for us to thank others! I hope that makes sense!

Moorhen - have a lovely day! :bdaycake:

    Redruby - thinking of you.

Notjustlaura - hope the crampy feeling goes. The menopause is a bit of a pain to go through, but it does mean all those tiresome symptoms go.

Well, it's a bit cloudier and cooler here this morning; it was more than 30 degrees yesterday which was lovely if you had nothing to do! I had to run lots of errands but, luckily, I managed to get them all done so at least I can stay in all day and get the admin done (oh, and the ironing if I cba!).

Dinner tonight is spaghetti bolognaise so that will be quick and easy.

I should also run the hoover around but, again, if I cba!

Well, I have bread to make - again. I tried some new flour yesterday (Lidl's Paysan) but it made for a really stodgy heavy loaf, so the birds will be benefiting from that - well, I shall try it on them first in small doses; if they look as if taking off and landing is a struggle, I'll stop feeding it to them. I shall go back to my usual flour; at least I know what to expect. For the first time here in France, I've managed to pick up some fresh yeast, so I shall see how that goes compared to the dried stuff.

Anyway, I'd better get started on the boring stuff. Have a great day, everyone.

    Morning all,

Its a it cooler here today, but still sunny, so wm is on, with another small load to follow.

I saw mum yesterday afternoon when visiting dad, my bro was there too (mum had been to his work with his sandwiches !!! and bought him back with her), which was slightly awkward :D still never mind it had to be said, bro did say they would give mum some cash this week so we will see, anyhoo I have decided to step back a little bit, I dont think she will ever take her rose tinted glasses off where my brother is concerned, so best to let them get on with it, thanks for all the hugs x

Anyway, back to today, paid work this morning, want to get that done asap, so will crack on in a moment, then tidy / hoover through, and a bit more painting in the bathroom if I get time. I also need to do an online shop as I did not get time yesterday.

Roast pork for dinner with all the trimmings, will see if mum wants to join us, it will save her the expense of one meal at least.

    :bdaycake:Happy Birthday to Moorhen xxxx

    Have good days all xx

    morning

Only day off in 7 days this week!:j

Had a nice leisurely start - cuppa and my book in bed followed by a shower.:)

Am meeting up with Mum and Sis later for coffee - Mum's up from Devon for a couple of days visiting her elderly friend in the nursing home.

HM Veg curry defrosting for dinner. Jacket spud for lunch.

Downstairs floors swept and mopped. Washing on line.
Need to vac the bedroom later and do a small amount of ironing.

RR - think you are being wise in standing back a bit x x x

Have a great day all - am off for some toast and marmalade!
    Do what you love :happyhear

    Happy Birthday Moorhen!

Well it's wet here today but still warm. Can't you tell OH and I painted the fence yesterday? And the shed. Took ages and then I cooked a nice chicken curry with the lo chicken from Sunday. Tonight we are having lamb mince in a new recipe as meatballs with Moroccan spice and eggs with couscous.
Must go and see if OH took the meat out of the freezer before he went to work.

Today I will be going to the gym and flying with the flyladies and men.

    Have a good day all.

    Morning everyone

Weather has cooled right down in Kent.

Day1 of trying to lose weight for me today, I have cleared all the cupboard of crap food, so no making my fav cookies or cakes.
Today I will be cooking DS gingerbread men... cos I don't like those :rotfl:

Not got alot of housework to do, just the usual quick tidy round & make beds, DW & WM is on, Got to catch up with my ironing pile

Got to use up a bag of potato's so thinking of doing a leek and potato soup (just wondering if you can freeze it..? ) as it would be ideal for my lunches.

Think I will make a move and get myself, showered and dressed.

Hope you all have a lovely day.....x

    Morning everyone.

Woke at 5am to let cat out and couldn't get off to sleep for ages. Coffee on tap I thnk :o
Plans today are to catch up on housework and when DD goes to nursery to make fondant icing princess for my friend. She saw my Viking on FB and decided she wanted a princess for her DDs birthday cake the weekend! Bit nervous, hope it turns out OK :o

Not sure what tea will be as I have cake decorating class tonight. I won't be returning after the 10 weeks is up. It's costing more money every week (on top of the £8 weekly fee) and quite frankly I haven't got time to be sorting out an 8" cake and ice it in prep for tonights class :o

Any way had better go and get started.

Happy birthday to Moorhen  have a lovely day :D

Hugs and spoons all round, have a good day OS or not.

    Hi there,
yes Leek and potato soup freezes very well as do most HM soups. If you still have spuds left over you could always boil, mash (maybe with a little cheese + chives) then when cool roll small balls of them onto a plate or piece of foil and open freeze.Once frozen put in a platic food bag and you have perfect portion size balls of mash potatos that once bunged in the microwave cook beautifully to go with what ever your having for your dinner I never waste any spuds at all this way and always have instant mash thats nicer than any ready made stuff.
Did the school run this morning and now one of the other boys has gone down with the bug so only Mikey to take to school this morning .I left dad coping with two little boys laying on the sofa with their blankies wraped around them Henry is feeling better today but Jack is looking a bit green around the gills .I am hoping Mikey will miss it altogether.ben the oldest boy seenms to be OK though and went off to school no problem at all.Thats the worst of it when there a lot of them they go down like skittles .Well I'm off to do battle with my iroing mountain, at least I have no shopping to get today.I have put some lamb casserole on in the SC and my house is smelling very autumnal at the moment
    Take care all.

Morning ladies, cooler here today also, still a lovely blue sky.
Birthday greeting Moorhen, hope you have a fab day.
Redruby we also have roast pork with all the trimmings for dinner.
Hugs for everyone. Today emm well what to do.dS1 has woken up covered in a rash, think its just where he has had a cough and cold over the last week and then last night he was running a temp so could be the bug just coming out .So he is tucked up in bed. Waiting for my housing officer and the manager of the repairs centre to come round this morning, have the green light for a wetroom rather than a shower cubicule:T:T. cant wait.
Woofer has been walked he is having his photo taken later today as local petshop is running a comp to find the 'face of the shop' , its a little independant shop the owner has known woofer since he was a tiny pup and always has a treat in his pocket for when we see him.. So he is off to the dog parlour at 11.30 for a good brush and spruce up.
Have got to hoover the stairs and landing before the council ppl come dd dropped a tub of glitter down them by accident this morn and didnt hoover it up as was early .Why she had a tub of glitter in her hands at just gone 7 is anyones guess.
