This website is designed to help people, yet in nearly every thread I have either posted or read you get the same type of cocky responses, presumably by people with nothing better to do with their lives than try to put people down on here. In response to the person who asked where my clothes from the last 12 week are, I tend not to wear suit and tie in my everyday life, don't know about you.

I posted this thread in the hope that somebody would point me in the right direction, I should have know better.

Gotta agree with the above , alot of do-gooder's and trolls lurking round these forums.
Just give the op the facts , or don't bother.
As said above , wear something presentable , I know I would not expect someone out of work to buy a suit for an interview .

    OK, a few ideas.

Borrow suit and tie from friends/family/neighbours?

    Check local charity shops?

    Put an ad on Freecycle?

Otherwise, your smartest trousers, ironed shirt and tie, jacket.

    Good luck!

tbh i think the OP is possibly a troll. In a previous thread he states he has been signing on for 3 weeks rather than the 12 he is claiming in this thread.

No my claim was made around 3 weeks ago, it has been processed and I was due my first payment on Monday but as I haven't currently got a bank account open I am being paid by giro, I was just wondering if anybody actually knew when you received not people just speculating. Thanks

When you post exactly the same question about your father (right down to the 12 weeks unemployment), people are likely to smell a rat.

In addition, it's interesting to see that you've joined your "friends" (if they ever existed) in illegally claiming JSA whilst at university as a full time student!

If OP does happen to be genuine then as an add on , i am sure the jobcentre have a clothing grant they offer for people to buy interview clothes. If you pop in to your local jobcentre they will be able to assist.

You could also ask for a crisis loan to cover costs?

Do you not have a decent pair of smart trousers? You know, the sort you would wear to go out clubbing or a party?

Ties are generally very reasonable at charity shops, sometimes as little as 20p and plenty smart enough. Plain shirts are also very reasonable in cost from charity shops...you could probably get a smart pair of trousers, a tie and a shirt for less than a fiver if you look hard enough.

Or as someone else has said, do you have a suit lurking at the back of your wardrobe somewhere? Or a relative who could lend you items for the interview?

Re wearing smart clothes every day, I very rarely do, smart clothes and disabled children don't go too well together but I do still have smart suits (of the female kind) and clothing from my old working in a corporate enviroment and a few mix and match items from previous weddings etc from years ago.
We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.

Can I just ask, when was this actually posted?? Thank you case closed, I have been in and out of work since then.

I have posted a question looking for a response, can I ask why the moneysavingexpert police have come out in force bringing previous threads up? Do you really have nothing else better to do? All I want is a straight answer not people speculating on things they really do not have a clue about, what a sad pathetic bunch of trolls you really are.
