not done much actually nothing really today as had a blah day but im over it now :)

DH may be home sooner rather than later, however the downside to that is he might not be here when baby is born :( so will deal with that if it comes to it. On the plus side of things him coming home early means less stress and worry for him as the ship he is on at the moment is pure hell for him, the bad thing is he asked me to phone up and play the pregnancy card and needing him home early in order to get him off so i hope he doesnt regret it, although saying that he has almost done his full trip, just not the extended trip he asked to do when he joined them.

ive booked an ironing collection for sunday as my guests have gone home today, so have lots of bedding to wash and dry, so whilst ive been doing the small bits of ironing when they are ready im not going to manage the bedding so will send it out to do.

ive also cancelled the builder as if DH is home early then dont want to pay out extra unless I really really have to, the work wasnt urgent and can be left but would rather have the extra cash in the bank at the moment until i know the full plan of whats going on and what is going to happen when he is home. on the plus side, cancelling the builder means next month will be able to pay the sofa's off in full rather than waiting till january so a positive :D

Was thinking how I want the living room decorated while busy. Have got new number for a floor laying person. Seen a wallpaper I like. Thinking to wait till spring now though as I had thought it would have been all done by now if the original floor person had come when he said he would. Just think its too near xmas to get it done.

Hugs and spoons where needed and sticks thrown for the BD.
  • Good evening :D

Dinner cooked & eaten, kitchen cleared up (wasn't too bad anyway :))

I have been looking at the first part of my new course  It's all a bit scary! I have just started a foundation degree, online. I have printed off a task list & looked through what I have to do, and by when. They break it down into 2 week chunks. I need to be really disciplined with myself, and keep on top of things, so i don't get behind. This is easier said than done as procrastination is my middle name (at least it would be, if I got around to changing it!!) Flying may have to take a back seat, but I have 2 teenagers & a very supportive DH who can help out :T

I am tired. DS is watching the programme about dinosaurs on BBC1 (have they really discovered that many new dinosaurs in recent years?!) but I think I may go to bed & read my text book for a bit (if that is not too sad :p) It will ensure I sleep anyway!

I am working tomorrow morning, and then after school. I need to do a list of things I need to get done in the afternoon, starting with 'walk the dog' as he needs a good run.

I will catch up in the morning. Night night all x

  • Emptied bins again today

    Cleaned splats' tray

and informed Minion I am not cooking, cleaning or washing her clothes until she cleans her room. Heard some sounds consistent with a little tidying, so it may have had some effect.

    However -

    [VENT]

Do you ever get those days where you have finally had enough of being spoken at as though you are a imbecile?

I have just decluttered some rather stressy words in the direction of the wretched Attendance Officer. I had written a letter to her last week, but decided against sending it as I felt I may have been overreacting at the time.

However, there is a note scrawled in Minion's homework diary from the woman, stating that her absences are going to be recorded as unauthorised.

A letter is waiting to go back, stating that as advised by letter, telephone AND text message at the time, Minion was absent last week due to a physiotherapy appointment and was unable to return to school due to pain and the complete absence of disabled access to the school, and then on the second day, she had a paediatrics appointment at a clinic which ran late - and she then had an electrocardiogram which ran into the afternoon. After this point, as she had not eaten all day, we did not leave the hospital until much later.

It goes on to say that seeing as there were abnormalities found in the electrical activity of her heart, I daresay that Minion will have additional absences in the future, and that she should feel free to mark her absences down as unauthorised as I don't care whether she believes me or not, although if she is prepared to pay the fee for each consultant and specialist involved in Minion's care, I daresay they will be able to supply her with private medical reports.

I finished the letter with 'I trust this makes the situation clear'.

Education Welfare Officers? Bring them on.

(Admittedly, it didn't help that the school tried to send her home yesterday due to Minion's knee making a horrible noise and pain as she had to go up the 5th flight of stairs in 2 hours - and the science lab door was slammed on her foot today as the teacher didn't give her enough time to walk in through the door on crutches. I am hoping that the funny bump in three of her toes is just a dent from having them wedged underneath and they aren't broken as well.)

If one more idiot woman makes the assumption that I'm some beer swilling, fag smoking member of the Tory party's Underclass in trackie bottoms, without a GCSE to my name, trying to reduce my daughter's opportunities in life, I am likely to tear them into a thousand little pieces and feed them to the cats.

    [and - brrrrreeeeaaaaathe]

In any case, rehearsals seem to be promising - almost got all songs OK now - got just enough time now if I continue to practice every day, to get it better, as I still have 'Not Good Enough' and 'Wrong!!!! Do It Again' going through my head.
I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.

Stressed Jojo???? lol.... I had Moomins 2 days in hospital put down as unauthorised despite the fact the school had seen her appointment letters.. which reminds me I need to do DS3 a letter for his absence last week.. for their records .. farcical!

At parents evening yesterday Moomins teacher asked me why she has a seat wedge and a built up sole on her shoe... I said she has cerebral palsy and quite bluntly said she should familiarise herself with the childrens disabilities/allergies etc.. she wouldnt want to be being prosecuted for causing anaphyaxis or discriminating against a child with a disability after all .. would she? ;)

I hate having a broken nail it is impossible to type!

JoJo - the incident with the door and Minion's toes needs to be reported. Did they record it in the accident book? And can you talk to the member of staff/governor in charge of health & safety about the lack of disabled access and doors being unsafe for use by a child on crutches. Also ask to see their Equality policy if it isn't on the school website. And talk to the physio and consultants about her treatment. If the school are putting her health at risk I'm sure they will have opinions.... And suggestions...
