Last time I asked about postage, as I am nowhere near either of these stores. This is the reply I got:

Thanks for your email regarding our Lego Promotion.

If you are unable to redeem your token because you do not have a local participating store please send it to us including your name and address and please state that you do not have a local WH Smith or ToysRUs.

YOU MUST ONLY ENCLOSE ONE VOUCHER IN EACH ENVELOPE

The address to send the token to is:

    Lego Promotion
    Customer Services
    3 Thomas More Square
    London
    E98 1RL

Please write on the outside of the envelope which day's offer you are requesting, ie the day of the voucher that you have enclosed.

Please allow 28 days for delivery, toys are subject to availability and applications will be processed on a first come, first serve basis.

    Thanks again and kind regards.

  • Thanks MrJolly44. I know some people managed it that way last time so hopefully it will be the same this time. I didn't collect the tokens because of not being able to pick them up then wished i had!
  • And for people with genuine disabilities, those who are housebound etc etc.

The sun KNOWS this offer is ridiculously popular, and with collectors in america paying top dollar for these sets its no wonder.

I agree. It's even more annoying when the staff in the participating stores have already helped themselves and put them on ebay before the promotion has even started

Was in Toys R Us (Gateshead) last week, and on the Lego section, they are actually selling some of the previous Sun giveaway models for £4.99 each!!!

Why cant they just go back to posting them out.

No way can I get to either store earlier to get them - I have 3 kids - hence why I'd be collecting them in the 1st place.

It'll probably work out cheaper for me to by them on ebay in a few months once the heat dies down, after factoring in buying the paper, time, petrol, parking, not being able to get one etc.

I'm hoping to collect each one as Toysrus is only 2 mins from my house so mite be able to go before school run each day! I'm also trying to bribe hubby into going before work too so we can get 2 sets...if we manage more than 1 on any day, I'll post them too you as I know they'll be like gold dust....Or over-inflated pricewise on Ebay :)
hoping for a very MSE Ts glitching 2012!

  • Harry Potter lab sets already being sold on ebay, guess wh smith & toysrus staff already got their hands on stock....hands up who thinks they'll be out of stock when you buy a paper.

I wouldnt necessarily blame the staff. Plenty of speculators and opportunists who have cottoned onto these promotions. Most of the ebay listings you see generally state that item will be dispatched on a particular date (usually the same day or the day after it had been made available).
  • Can you use more than 1 voucher? Id like to get a set for my DS and brother. x
