Hya folks...been a spendy week, but I knew it would be. :o

Had a very informative meeting at the hospital, saw the specialist and the dietician. We learned lots of new stuff to help DS2 manage his diabetes better while training and playing rugby. They want to see him again and monitor how he gets on once he starts playing rugby matches regularly.

Parking turned out to be a doddle and cheap!! We left my sis's @ 7:40 and got to the hopital @ 8:20, a bit early for a 9:55 appointment!!! :rotfl: Mind you, if we had left later, it would have taken much longer, and we probably wouldn't have found the great parking space we nabbed. It was on the side of the road, quite close to the hospital, costing only 50p per hour, with a max of 4 hours....and it didn't start until 9am!! I paid for the full 4 hours, but could have got away with paying for 2..just! As it was we settled down to listen to the first half of the Wales - Australia match in the car, and I carried on with my knitting. The traffic warden chuckled when she walked past us!!

So yesterday, we only paid £2 for the parking and then another £2 for some bottled water for DS2....we had run out of ours and the hospital didn't seem to have water fountains like our local one, we regularly top up when we are there. So a LSD, rather than a NSD.

Declaring today as NSD no 12, with hopefully another tomorrow. DS and DH are taking packed lunches tomorrow, and should have free parking, so hopefully they won't be spending anything :D.

Have a great weekend everyone....happy NSD nabbing!!!

I'm on NSD #5 (I think anyway...got a bit hectic with a new job, and it's made it hard to keep track of things!)
  • No NSD for me today ... I promised I would get DS2 some sweeties because he passed his grade 2 in ice hockey today :T Then I had to get DS1 and DD sweets as well and then, while I was in the shop I saw a :santa2: magazine that I *had* to get :o To top it all off I had to get cupcake cases as I am going to a friends for a little get together tonight and I said I would fetch cupcakes  DH is at Mr T picking up some bits that I ordered and had delivered instore including a :xmastree:. Am currently watching Muppets Xmas Carol :o I think I may be getting a bit too excited and maybe regressing in age as the weeks pass :snow_laug

OK, promise I'm going and no more 'C' talk from me (at least until tomorrow...!):D;)

Afternoon folks from a wetter than usual NI:eek:
A spend day for me today, due to a visit to the cash and carry. I spent more than I had anticipated, but the money will be saved long term. I hope everyone is well and has a good weekend.:)

Well I don't even need to announce how badly my month is going with NSD but I can confirm that OH is now stocked up with pizza (free), beer (on roll back) and chips (no offer but he just likes them :)) for while I'm away on business. Although our grocery budget is used up this month, our cupboards are chock full as is the freezer so my bargain hunting, grabbits and voucher use is deff paying off.

Wombled and APG for £1.30 too today :D

Keiss - you're not that far from me at the hospital, you should pop down the A404 for a cuppa - kettle's always on here x

Rising from the Ashes - big hugs to you, pop round for a brew too, you sound like you could do with one x

LMH - you're in good company, i regress at Christmas too. Have already started my shopping for this year. btw I know one of the actors who played one of the young scrooge's in Muppets Xmas Carol :D It's a fab film, the little rat makes it. Can't watch Mickey's Christmas Carol though...I cry every time (more as I get older :o)

Right, I'll be in a diff time zone to you all next week but will try and keep up. If anyone fanices a night out at the karaoke get Spoony to fire up the Tardis :D
