Sawan, I reckon you should borrow something to wear from one of your sisters and go! If it sucks, you can make an excuse and leave but often the best nights stem from the ones which you're feel the most meh about IYKWIM?

  • Flirtini - My Halloween costume last year was Pacman. I know not very scary - but he chases ghosts so that's my logic for the costume. Plus, nobody else will be wearing the same thing! Really easy to make - all you need is cardboard, paints and some safety pins to attach it to a plain black dress :)

A couple of INs to declare -
Lush's Christmas Cleanser Buche de Noel. A change from my usual herbalism, but still lovely and scrubby, I will be using all of this up I can tell.
Lush's Face Mask - Cupcake and Love Lettuce. I used to use love lettuce all the time, but I stopped because it ended up going funny before I could finish a pot. Now I'm freezing half a pot so nothing gets wasted! And I only wanted a sample of cupcake, but the lady ended up giving me a full size pack for free as it is due to go bad in about a week and a half. Yay for Freebies!
Sweet Almond Oil - I've just run out of my Simple face wipes which is what I was using to remove mascara and I've read that sweet almond oil is a good alternative, so I'm giving it a go!

1 Out - Simple face wipes. WNBA - wasn't that great at removing mascara, so I'm not that bothered.
In the end the journey's brought joys which outweigh the pain.
No buying toiletries in November: INs 1 OUTs 10. Total OUTs since October: 26

Thank you everyone for your support.:)

I just looked at the council's local connection criteria and we meet three out of the four (but you only need to meet one) so I'm hoping that goes in our favour.:)

Lady M - fingers crossed for you, really hope that this is your time.

Flirtini - a slinky cat oufit is always a winner, alternatively i can have a look in my drama costume cupboard (well its a room more than a cupboard) which covers pantos, various comedies including hi-de-hi and allo allo, happy to lend if needed!

Sawan - I would go for it, like others said you can always leave, but you never know what opportunities will come from a break from the normal things you do.

Hugs to anyone who needs them. Off to do paperwork for a friend who swapped his tree felling skills for my admin skills.
£400,000 starting Jan 2020 current end date Aug 2041 I would love the end date to be 2027 but will aim first for 2037.
    1% target £4000 so far £20 paid
  • Keeping my fingers crossed for you Lady Morticia - best of luck.

Sawan - I think you should go! As Kaz says, you can always leave if it really sucks, but you might enjoy it.

Alja - good luck for the job! Will keep my fingers crossed for you too.

Mculloch I walked the virtual doggie - cute! :)

Flirtini - last year for Halloween I bought a cheap long-sleeved white maxi dress from eBay, put dark eyeshadow under my eyes and went out as the Corpse Bride! Very cheap and effective. Used cobwebby stuff from Asda for the veil.

Wish I hadn't started browsing eBay now in search of Halloween clothes - I am now lusting after this dress:

Would go lovely with the red sparkly shoes!

Thank you everyone.:) Really hoping that we'll be successful as it couldn't come at a better time, to be honest.

Have some INs to report that SIL gave me. She went to this Alternative Hair Show thing in London with some people on her course but I'll have to declare them tomorrow as I'm shattered now and don't have the energy to get up and go and see what everything is called.:o

  • And - just walked the doggie, great fun, might take him another walk later! I forgot I had clicked on the link and carried on catching up with the thread until my computer started barking at me! I was a bit confused :D

One UU to report - Rimmel 3 in 1 colour thing, used this up as a cream blush, WNBA - I have to work through the other 12 blushers lurking in my stash first! Will probably take 12 years :rotfl:

My QVC Liz Earle ordered arrived today and I don't even feel guilty!! It always looks smaller than it does on TV doesn't it? The box smelled lovely when I opened it too.

Off to the naughty step I go, does anyone want a biscuit? :rotfl:
