Oh phil! piper5 is not trying to make you out to be stupid. Not at all. She has merely pointed out that you, and her, and most of us, have not the vaguest idea of exactly what is entailed in City workers' jobs, therefore resenting their salaries is pointless.
Also, it's a bit rich of you to complain about anyone getting personal, because you are always sprawling all your personal details on here for us to see. Be careful who you open up to. Today it's ears, tomorrow it's mouth.0 Be careful who you open up to. Today it's ears, tomorrow it's mouth.0

It matters to me as the city is an important part our the economy of this country and has power to shape the future of the world on its investments.piper5 wrote:i have NEVER said you are stupid have i?? i just dont see how this topic appeals to you??? you speak how you live by everything your mum says, you wont go to london!!! why does it matter about these workers???:beer:0

I think it is casting doubt on my intelligence by say I can not leave my Mum's side. It makes it sound like I have no brain of my own.
That is just how I see it- sorry if that is not what you mean.:beer:0

Well, phil, you must be prepared for people do draw that conclusion. You are always saying how you don't do things because your mum would disapprove, how you are not allowed to this or that or the other... I'm sure many other users here remember such instances.
As long as you say things like that, please don't be surprised if peeps think you'll never leave your mother's apron. It's not even a question of intelligence but of having balls and emotional independence, which is glaringly obvious you do NOT have.Be careful who you open up to. Today it's ears, tomorrow it's mouth.0

If we were only allowed to discuss topics of which we had experience, that would bar me from a hefty percentage of the threads!
Goodness knows I get frustrated by Phil at times, but to be fair to him, this thread hasn't much turned to his personal life - we've challenged him and ribbed him a bit at his inexperience and blanket statements, but he's done his best to post on topic. As much as anything else, surely this forum exists for us to bounce ideas around and learn?
I just defended Phil ... must lie down ...Touch my food ... Feel my fork!0
