I'm emptying the cupboard under the stairs and moving a self unit from the hall to put there so I get a basic pantry set up... Love the clearing and shifting... Not sure about the putting away! But it has given me somewhere for the preserves and noodle mountains!

Thanks mardatha - just checked NI and whilst we will have some snow it def doesn't look as frightening as what is forecast for Scotland. Scary!

That is the stove I used for about 9 months when cooker packed in and was waiting to have new kitchen put in with separate oven and hob, so not worth buy a new cooker for that short time. I found one cannister would last 90mins which was usually enough to make soup or stew.

I actually had two on the go at same time. A big pan fits on them nicely and is perfectly stable.
Need to get back to getting finances under control now kin kid at uni as savings are zilch

Thanks for the link Mardatha - I live quite near one of the weather stations so have bookmarked its page for future reference. So far we've just got a yellow "be aware" for Thurs/Fri. Only appt I have this week is on Wed so that will be OK.

  • met office is full of yellow weather warnings now, including snow where I live in sw, I hope not as I thought I was being clever by booking my haircut tomorrow and food delivery on wednesday. Pressure is dropping fairly quickly now and is 1008, from 1015 last time I looked late morning. Could be a noisy night
