I'm emptying the cupboard under the stairs and moving a self unit from the hall to put there so I get a basic pantry set up... Love the clearing and shifting... Not sure about the putting away! But it has given me somewhere for the preserves and noodle mountains!

Thanks mardatha - just checked NI and whilst we will have some snow it def doesn't look as frightening as what is forecast for Scotland. Scary!

That is the stove I used for about 9 months when cooker packed in and was waiting to have new kitchen put in with separate oven and hob, so not worth buy a new cooker for that short time. I found one cannister would last 90mins which was usually enough to make soup or stew.

I actually had two on the go at same time. A big pan fits on them nicely and is perfectly stable.

Thanks for the link Mardatha - I live quite near one of the weather stations so have bookmarked its page for future reference. So far we've just got a yellow "be aware" for Thurs/Fri. Only appt I have this week is on Wed so that will be OK.

met office is full of yellow weather warnings now, including snow where I live in sw, I hope not as I thought I was being clever by booking my haircut tomorrow and food delivery on wednesday. Pressure is dropping fairly quickly now and is 1008, from 1015 last time I looked late morning. Could be a noisy night
