You have Windows XP 64 bit?? Are you sure?
Would you prefer to run a completely clean install with XP SP3 32bit?
What is the full model description of the machine?0 -

XP 64bit never had much support in terms of drivers (and it didn't run very well on a few machines I tried it on).
Windows update (Start > all programs > windows update) should allow you to install all the updates available for the 64bit version of XP. SP2 is also the last service pack for the 64bit XP.
thanks have already done that but no updates as yet was exspecting to be inandated with upades0
