Don't give up yet! You can just buy a 3.5." external case for the hard drive.

It's as simple as opening up the case, removing the hard drive, and then sticking it into the case.

Can you enter System Setup via F2 on re-boot, in order to reset the System Defaults?

You have an IDE HDD.

So go into the BIOS via F2 and choose to Restore System Defaults.
