I remember your pics...I thought yours was white! Looked lovely anyway whereas that colour would make me look awful as I'm just too mousey
ETA: Oops sorry I think I'm thinking of somebody else, you're a 2012 bride aren't you?
Me? Yea lol I'm July 2012 - haven't shared photos of my dress on here - you never know who's eyes may be watching :rotfl:
Lol I guess the name "MrsDrink" can be confusing!0 -
Know what you mean...part of me is dying to put pics up but I daren't. I have to wait til OH is out the way to sneak peeks at the pics. Am collecting it on Saturday but storing it at friend's house - will kill me not being able to keep looking at it!0

I got married in purple 19 years ago (OMG was it that long ago?). Never saw myself in white or cream and anyway purple is my fave colour. Only planned to do it once so had what I wanted. Not the done thing then, but more popular now. I bought the material and pattern and my friend's sister made it for me. Dress and pelplum jacket with black braiding. Fabric roses to match with hubbie wearing a waistcoat out of the same fabric.
Still got it now and have worn it a few times to fancy dress parties.
You go for it luvvie.0 -

I wore a cream dress with a black waist band that then went into a bow at the back and that went all the way down the back of the dress.
It was from monsoon.
I knew I didn't want white and I knew I didn't want a traditional wedding dress. I went for what I wanted and thankfully had no one disagree or try and tell me otherwise.
I got married in a pub :j. We did what we wanted, our wedding, our memories. I didn't want to look back and say we did such and such because we felt we had too.Mummy to two girls: October 2013 and February 20160 -
My friend got married in a dark red prom gown style dress and she looked absolutely gorgeous. If it is what you want then do it, at the end of the day it's your wedding and it's your day so do what would make you happy and sod everyone else0

Personally I'm getting married in white but equally as worried as everyone keeps say 'white is so hard to wear' 'white just washes people out'. The dress I tried on was pearl and I ordered it in white, fingers crossed I like it! Anyway, sidetracked, go with whatever you will feel best in! X
I'm the opposite, I think that white/cream/ivory lights up the complexion!Black, OTOH, is very hard to wear if you're pale (imho).
I confess - I want a traditional colour for my wedding dress, I am actually stupidly excited about wearing oneAnd I love trying them on! It sounds silly for a grown woman to admit to that, but there you go.
OP - have what YOU want, hope you find your perfect dress! :T7 Feb 2012: 10st7lbs14 Feb: 10st4.5lbs

I'm wearing a red/wine dress very similar to the one on the first page. I always thought I'd wear white/ivory etc, but this dress just looked FABULOUS on me, and fits with the venue. I'm not going to tell OH...We may not have it all together, but together we have it all
