I agree. From the outside looking in the management of the claim gives the appearance of being a dog's dinner from start to finish. If that is a fair reflection then it would be open to the defendant to make an application for a wasted costs order. My very sincere apologies for those hoping to request off-board assistance but I am now so inundated with requests that in order to do justice to those "already in the system" I am no longer accepting PM's and am unlikely to do so for the foreseeable future (August 2016).
For those seeking more detailed advice and guidance regarding small claims cases arising from private parking issues I recommend that you visit the Private Parking forum on PePiPoo.com0 -
It could have been a cunning plan to try and make the defendant pay up before it reached court. Scare tactics which failed spectacularly. What part of "A whop bop-a-lu a whop bam boo" don't you understand?0

Even more important then to punish them even more.
The case had no chance of success. Its administration was laughable and then finally to no show, proves it was vexatious.
Perhaps Alexis has contact with Adinuff and might take this further.I know I personally would but would need guidance as to procedures.0 -

Sobell didn't even submit an adequate court bundle.
Just photocopies of the tickets and photo of the sign. No legal arguments at all and no landowner contract.
It was obvious they were never going to show from day 1.0 -

Probably as most of us said at the time it was an attempt to cover his backside over the threatening to take action, but never doing so.
Mind you he maybe having another go????I received a County Court Summons in the post this morning. Has anyone else had this happen? Can't find a post by anyone about this.
I've read the advice, but everyone seems so confident that this doesn't happen I'm not sure about following any more " advice".0 -
No he's not - the troll Roger Rabbit on that thread has been sussed. :rotfl:PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

I called Roxborough on the number published asked to speak to Michael Sobell - guess what, he wasn't there! I think the guy I spoke to actually sniggered at my percieved naivity.
I have discovered the solicitors regulatory authority report@sra.org.uk
How can this practice exist in this country?0 -
Could we get a case number ? and some more information so if they try again the vexatious claims can be used as evidence against them ?
Information of vexatious no show cases can be a very good defence of having a case struck out if it can be shown that they have made repeated vexatious cases that have wasted time effort and money.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature.
