too many people generally bikering and being smart these days.
regarding your query.... read the Martin post at the top on the Freebies Board.
generally they give out free tickets before a film comes out to get word of mouth going...... we're doin them a favour really... but saves some money,.
Is everyone sorted for the Wedding Daze screening tomorrow.... if not PM me, (think i've replied to everyone now)PLAY GOOD!

Watch out for the Flying Scotsman about ths cyclist Graeme Obre which has just been released in the USA and is doing well. It should be distributed in the summer here this year. Fantastic film if you like drama not for you if you only like Blockbuster stylee films like our friend above who found Jindabyne boring. Still wouldn't do if we all liked the same thing!!!
Wish we got Time Out Screenings up here though!!!
Thanks for the info jillsa, will check out the Flying Scotsman + Film Fest in Aug sounds good!
This week's Timeout screening is Water - the last in the 'elements' trilogy and prob not exactly 'action-packed' so not one for everyone. I just think we're lucky esp in London to have free screenings and thanks to MSE, they are free so I'm def not gonna complain!I hope I didn't brain my damage...
Homer Simpson :wall:0 -
Just got in from seeing The Wedding Daze.......
I have never laughed so loud or so long for YEARS !!:D
I don't think my comments will spoil it for anyone who have not yet seen it.
I would say the film is NOT mainstream material.....reminded me strongly of Little Miss Sunshine, but cannot put my finger on why
Slow in parts, but I think I will be laughing out loud for days to come.
Thanks again to all posters of codes etc, your efforts are much appreciated :T0 -
Saw Wedding Daze too last night. Really funny film, loved it!
Would recommend it to everyone who needs cheering up, it'll do the trick.0 -
Manchester was again not that full for Wedding Daze
I wasnt that impressed.. as the yanks say,... a gross out film and as we we say rude and crude.
I just felt it was out to shock,,,,
ie.. snot on his girlfriends face,,,
spitting toothpaste in her face whilst she tries being sexy
dad handing down the family C@ck ring to his son!?
parents having s@x and being all over each other
parents interrupted while having a couple of l@sbian's perform for them in the living room
## spoiler ## deleted 23:30
there was more but can't remember.
depends if u like that,,,I suppose it will get teh right type of people cos Jason Biggs is famous for American Pie.
ok for nowt I supposePLAY GOOD!

Have to agree with Mancunian i'm afraid - not a very good film, cheap laughs - will appeal to certain classes I suppose, the good thing is it did represent and was worth every penny of the admission ticket :cool:0

Wedding Daze is ok for a freebie.. some bits where funny! I wouldn't pay to watch it or hire it on DVD that's for sure!!! Just cheap, low belt comedy! The typical american stuff!Official DFW Nerd Club - Member no. 092

No code yet, but some kind soul will probably share it sometime tomorrow. And how come the venue looks like some kind of gameshow?!

And a Q&A afterwards!
"The screening will be followed with an exclusive Q&A with the film's producer Dean Devlin (Independent Day/The Patriot) and David Ellison (actor and aerobatic pilot)."

Well that has told me.
As I said in my posting, it is not mainstream, and I wouldn't say the film was brilliant, wouldn't buy the dvd, or pay to see it.......but I did laugh in parts until I cried.... and not at most of the scenes Mancunian listed !
By the way Mancunian, maybe you can remember that the film is not released yet and some readers may not have seen it yet.....but presumably you thought the film so bad it is impossible to 'spoil' the film for anyone else0 -
no I'm glad some people liked it and certainly dont agree with people being put down for that....each to there own...we're a mixed bunch and we share our views!
didnt think my comments gave anything away.... now I've reread them I suppose one could...so I have deleted it from the post.
just remembered another horrible scene,,,,, the diaphragm (had to use my spell checker!) naughty naughty!PLAY GOOD!
