  • I think all things that are set to help people are open to abuse.
The problem with the tickets/discussion only debate will probably never go away. I check both threads daily and pay no attention to the wimbledon full posts. If one person posts in the wrong place and 5 people reply to tell them off it starts getting silly.
Why can't we all just kindly point the confused person in the right direction and ignore the persistant wrong doers. Surely if they get no reply to there question and don't get a rise out of anyone they will go elsewhere.
I think its such a shame that it gets nasty on here as MSE is such a great community. This is a fab thread and we all just need to praise the good and ignore the bad. Thanks for all posts and codes I have seen 3 films for free so far and am eternally greatful. :T LL80
  • Woo hoo!! :j Did anyone else go to a Metro/Lindt/Valentine Night preview of 'The Painted Veil'?

We were expecting just the usual showing of the film but when we arrived we were all greeted at the box office with unlimited free champagne (the real stuff too) and chocolates. Boxes of chocs on all the seats and staff came round giving away even more later on. Then, as we left we were each handed lovely shiny red carrier bags with 2 big boxes of chocs in them!!

Can't for the life of me remember where I heard about the promotion and if I didn't have the goody bag I would think I dreamed the whole thing!!!

Anyone else go to one????

Yes same in Edinburgh, except it was at a small private cinema on the southside of the city where I've never been to a freebie film before. None of your cheap cinema seats, we had leather sofas for 2 with tables and footstools plus the champagne and chocolates and so so many chocolates to take home.

A huge thank you to Metro and Lindt Chocolate for a fabby evening!!
