I went to Hot Fuzz a while ago and they said the same - they just checked bags by lookin in them and you had to show that your mobile was switched off. They did not take any in for thjat screening although said as per this message that they would

I didnt get an e mail but I did go to a screening yesterday in Sheffield. There were 3 guys from Fox and the film was 30 min late as they were late delivering the film to the cinema.

We did have to hand in our phones and they were placed in clear plastic bags and we were given tickets for them so that we could claim them back. Something to do with it being Tom Cruises first film for some time and them not wanting it recorded.

They kept watching the audience as well to see if anyone was recording it. Not sure why as it was pretty naff...... very american and basically an advert for an anti war message (not that i am in the slightest pro war). It just wasnt very subtle in its message.

I was at the Trocadero screening last night and they removed all phones ... even the ones without cams.

I thought that it was made a rule to post gossip and rants to a different thread
I come on here specifically to look for free movie offers..
Every time someone posts gossip I get an email notification and hate it when I've logged on to hear that someone enjoyed a film or it was crap or something

I do have to agree with you about the codes thread tho. It's really disappointing to log on thinking there are new codes just to find someone leaving a useless message.
It's even worse when the person leaving the messages is doing it deliberately, assumedly just to irritate other users - that's not really entering into the spirit of things really is it?

What did you think of the film? I thought it was pretty good.
