Well, I read it that Meryl Streep had given in, and writtten the piece- or did she leave her notebook behind- as it was on the news- that little strip that goes along- whatever it's called

Lions for Lambs - Loads of 'heavies' checking tickets and phones tonight in Bradford...also kept popping into the screening to see what we were all up to.....very strange!

Short film, for once, (1 1/2 hrs), but abrupt ending

Well, I read it that Meryl Streep had given in, and writtten the piece as ordered by her boss- or did she leave her notebook behind, and he took the info from that- as it was on the news- that little strip that goes along the bottom of the screen. That was why she was crying, as she knew even more US soldiers would be shipped off to die

Did you notice the reference to Top Gun/Mission Impossible etc?
  • I've put a bit of a complicated code on film preview site (not this discussions one) for London Preview with Q & A sessions for Brick Lane
No use to me unless they throw in a free flight!
  • Didn't really rate Lions for Lambs. Thought it tried too hard to be an intellectual statement on American policitics and just came across as trying too hard. The scenes between Redford and the 'gifted' student was just mind-numbing (so this guy is meant to be a genius because he was able to argue his point in a class where he'd done no preparation? That makes 99% of my year at Uni Einsteins!), didn't touch reality at all, and just smacked of trying too damn hard.
Almost debt-free, but certainly even with the Banks!

    Hi all,
I cannot believe I keep missing tickets for American Ganster!! Arrrghh! The latest code came on to the forums at about 9:30pm last night - guess what time I came off the Internet..? Yes, 9:20pm..!

Does anyone have codes for Cardiff, please? I have tried all three and no 'dice. Or tickets (am I allowed to request that?) ?

    Thanks all. ;)
 That window's cracked on both sides!!

    Hi
I went to Manchester as well last night and the only I came away feeling like I had missed something you know like the end of the film lol! I would have said it was a good film till it ended! I got the bit with Streep but didn't understand what the crack with the student was and I completley missed the refs to Cruise's other films!

Yeah! don't think the student 'worked'. Was he supposed to enlist? Turn up at lectures? Become next President? He didn't seem overly 'bright' just a spoilt smart a**e. I managed to argue my way though most Politics tutorials at Uni too with no preparation, but then I always was a stroppy bug***
