I got an e-mail about tickets for Stardust on Monday 15th from Imp.... but not sure where the voucher is to print out...or does it mean the whole e-mail?? Also, how do you find out if there are any tickets left, do you have to actually queue up on the day to find out?
Sorry, but I am new to this.0 -

If you click on the picture of the ticket, I think it goes to another page, so just print it, and take it as soon as you can to box office and swap it for tickets.
You collect the tickets before the preview ~ I just collected a couple today for Monday.
Do they always give you popcorn, and a bottle of water at the Impulse ones ~ they have for the past 2 I've been to, or was that just pot luck.0 -
Hmm, not sure whether you're being abit unfair quoia. You say you waited for over an hour but surely you knew you would've had to wait 40 mins anyway since you turned up so early. So basically one had to wait 30 mins extra, to watch a free film.. not exactly a Total C*ckup.
It is a widely known fact that seefilmfirst ALWAYS oversubscribes as most screenings almost always have empty seats. I've only ever been to one screening out of over a hundred where EVERY single seat was full up (it was the only Ocean's 13 screening in the UK, and so was understandable) and I'm guessing the hype/cast of Stardust made this another exception. Due to this it makes sense to oversubscribe as otherwise there would be an even less number of people getting to enjoy the film due to those who apply and don't turn up at the expense of others who really want to go.
Anyway I'm sure you know all this but the reason why I bring this up is because this is seefilmfirst's policy and so the fact that sometimes more people than allocated turn up is solely their fault and not Showcase. As isabelle says, they easily could've turned people away, and they're even entitled to as it is stated in the terms and conditions. However, they kindly decided not to and transferred to another larger screen, in which as you say yourself the film ended at 18:55. Regardless of whether there was 10 people or 1 person, you still have to wait for the film to finish, you can't just kick them out!
Regarding the extra 15 minute wait (while you were seated mind), I'm not sure how long it takes to transfer film reels, change schedules, etc but 10-15 mins seems to make sense. While I'm seated I dont usually mind and it normally goes by quickly when I'm sat chatting.
You say the need for the larger screen was completely unnecessary but somehow I doubt your headcount of 150 is totally accurate and unbiased. And even if it is, you said the manager said the other screen only held 160, so doesn't it make sense to transfer to a larger screen when he did a rough estimate of 130 at "about 18:25"? How was he to know more than 30 wouldn't turn up at the last minute or even later? (which usually happens). Also, 150 people seated in pairs is very difficult and time-consuming to fit in a screen which holds 160.
I didn't mean to sound confrontational, and if anything I'm very thankful of your contribution to the cinema ticket thread. I just think they did what they could and thought you were being a bit harsh on them. Lastly, once when a free screening I was due to attend was delayed by 40 minutes, I kindly notified the manager that that would make things hard for me as I had to be somewhere later (I didnt actually). He apologised and decided to give me 2 free tickets to watch any film at any Odeon!0 -

You can collect the tickets on the same day, just before the match. But if you have time you may go before hand and take the tickets from the counter.
