Free Cinema Tickets - Discussion only thread

I'm new to this "free cinema" thing, and i managed to get 2 tickets for Superbad at my local cinema for tonight.

What i don't understand is if they are guaranteed tickets, or are they first come, first served. I don't want to turn up and get turned away, i will go early if they are allocated as and when you arrive.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated, am looking forward to seeing the film!

The ticket guarantees entry just as buying a ticket does, they have limited tickets to give away so they don't give them to everyone or over fill it in my experience, although the fine print says that it doesn't, you have been allocated them seats already, that's just a disclaimer for the company. we have never had a problem going in with the free tickets!

they usually say like 6 for 6:30 but at 6 they let everyone in and seats fill quickly if its a good film so I always get there before!

hi, thanks for writing this because i was just about to post something similar. im managed to get my first free tickets to see in the hands of the gods for tomorow and have opted for the sms ticket, but dont know what exactly to do with it lol does anybody know?

Seen a few with SMS, you just show the guy at the ticket line it. But they could easily be done by loads of friends as you can forward and edit the text if the screen is full and a few of you wanna go but only managed 1 ticket.

Hello, I'm trying to book tickets for Thelma and Louise using the Guardian Soulmates offer. I've used the steps described in the 'offers' thread i.e. username 'soulmates' then password. This gives me the online discount. However, when I then come to submit my address and credit card details it wont proceed and comes up with 'invalid argument'. Has anyone else experienced this and does anyone know how to get round it?

Has anyone successfully booked this offer online?
