well.. don't think it's only me. When we have the 'for sale' board out. My next door neighbour came around and asked, 'please do me a favour, don't sell it to someone who have babies'.. :p
  • If the pond has moving water, you won't have any problems with Mosquitoes.
  • And you may have the joys of bat watching at dusk - lovely.

Oh no not bats with their squeaking and their droppings and their blocking out the natural moonlight and their blood-sucking and all!

I would think twice myself. A well-known figure in my parent's town proved just how distressing having a neighbour with a pond might be....

Returning home late one night after a heavy session at the local Conservative Club, said gentleman tried vainly to get his key into the lock, staggered and fell backwards into his own front garden pond. He was still there, frozen into it, the next morning.

Imagine opening your curtains to see that!
Go for the one next to the rottweilers, eight kids and a trampoline. At least there will be no nasty surprises. ;)

Kids with rottweilers... I can imagine opening my curtains to a remake of one of the Saw movies
  • We have a pond with frogs, pond is in the back garden..

I was mowing the front lawn on Sunday, when I saw something jump, I jumped as frightened the hell out of me I then stopped took a closer look to see a frog!!

Was amazed to see 3 of them in the front garden! So bewarned you may get frogs in your garden too! and in your house if you have a cat who ikes to bring presents home.. we've had a live one inside the house and a dead one on the doorstep!

Frogs ae nice and endangered so don't mind them hopping about at all

I knew that I'd been spending too long on Dr Who forums when the reply that came to mind was 'No, Pond doesn't bother me but River Song really gets on my nerves' ...
  • the wife cut a frog in half with a strimmer once and it hit her leg! It took me another 10 years to convince her I could have a pond in the garden..
