...et, que vous êtes francophile! Quelle joie absolue!

Me dîtes pas que vous, aussi, êtes neo-zelandais/e? Même sinon, la guerre entre nous prend forme de ballon ovale jusqu'au 23 octobre...

    - and we both know that 'e acute' is disliked on mse, so I'm not marking us down for failing to show them in our posts.

Hope you're also up for Dr Carl[glorious Australian scientist]on R5 right now. If all my dear old linkies were working as they did before, I'd put it here and now.
Think you'll like him, so do try. I'm about to continue reading The Hare with the Amber Eyes, Edmund de Waal[but if you're a lover of studio pottery you'll know his name differently] It's an extraordinary and totally engaging memoir unlike any other you'll have come across. Ditto Grayson Perry.

You see how far I am from techiespeak.....

p.s have just done first 2 elements of tangosoft[because it conjured a Vettriano-like association for me, sortakinda], but ignored the 3rd, labelled Portable edition[does this mean 'laptop']. Is this right?

If we can keep the newlywed out of the bars then we may stand a chance

Portable versions of software are ones which do not install anything, you just click to run the programme from where it was downloaded to, they are used a lot by technicians to run any number of programmes reasonably quickly on a PC they are repairing, without having to install then uninstall them before handing the PC back

You can run either version, it is designed to try to correct anything which stops the desktop icons working, and the other things listed as well
