What's a private customer Twister? And should private customers not be given something in writing?
What would happen if you made a withdrawal and it wasn't transferred over? Would they impose an overdraft surcharge even if it is their fault? Who determines how much should be in the so called 'savings account'? What is the floor-ceiling level?
No rules - no play.
You do get it in writing btw. I was maybe a bit daft in agreeing to it before I had the paperwork, but it comes through with all the account details. It was my branch that called me though, and only agreed to it after I had taken the chaps name and called him back in the branch. Even though I live 500 miles from the branch, I still have that branch # in my phone :rotfl:
Why wouldn't it be transferred over? It's an automatic thing. You set a level on which you want your current account to sit at. For example £200, you will always have that £200 in your current account. Transfers back and forth, so can look a bit messy on your statement. If it doesn't transfer, the bank are breaking their T&Cs therefore their responsibility. And both accounts get linked to your direct banking. So very easy to keep an eye on things.
If you have doubts, why not ask to see the T&Cs, think I've shredded all mine now or I'd look them up for u, sorry.
Anyhoo, end of the day, this kind of thing worked for me4 Stones and 0 pounds or 25.4kg lighter :j0 -
Cheers Twister. Nat West
"NatWest Private is available to all customers with a sole income of over £100,000 (or joint income of £150,000) paid into your NatWest account or savings of over £50,000 held with us."
£100,000!! Cripes, I'd be able to switch on the central heating an hour earlier if I had that much money!
:j
I certainly don't qualify, so different branches must have different criteria. I think at the time I used to have 1-2,000 in my current account.
I wonder how Santander will manage sweeper accounts.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. The branches have the same criteria. It sounds that some are ignoring the guidelines about setting these arrangements up for their own purposes though.0 -

You can have both, though it may be beneficial to open another ISA to maintain the tax free status of the ISA.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. Check in branch whether the Cash ISA will prevent you getting the 1-year 2% bonus on First Reserve that was mentioned in earlier posts.0
