Sorry, I posted and then didn't click email notification so couldn't answer your question. Luckily someone jumped in to answer your question.
I booked Premier Inn when they had £19 per night rooms (they sent an email to existing clients). AFAIK there's only one in Harrogate and its classed as city centre so I hope its true to its description. We are staying a Saturday night so Asda might be the entertainment!The Cabbage

Me and the OH got a deal at the Holiday Inn as a Top Secret hotel from lastminute.com, geat hotel for the price (about £40/night) about 2 mins walk to centre. Was a lovely week away.0

update the premier inn is at Hornbeam Park near the railway station with the same name and its about a 4 min ride into Harrogate town centre by train.The Cabbage
