Not read the whole thread, but I only passed my driving test 3 yrs ago at the grand old age of 29 - OMG what a difference it makes being able to drive to work/school/nursery/supermarket etc etc rather than begging lifts, or catching 2 buses to get to work, then a 15min slog pushing a pram up a STEEP hill to nursery with an uncooperative pooch!

So I became the proud owner of a lil old banger - someone bumped me during my first winter of driving and left a dent - no details... It would have been nice if they had fessed up, but all things considered - well it didn't mean much - my car still gets from A to B bless its tiny ikkle engine :)

I really wasn't that bothered - everyone assumes I did it anyway, which I did not!
I don't know half of you half as well as I should like, and I like less than half of you half as well as you deserve.

    RIP POOCH 5/09/94 - 17/09/07

  • Felt compelled to answer, yes you should own up! I was in the park with my little one and someone dented my car about 30' away from me and I didn't realise however I had noticed their brand new car on the way in .Someone else in the park gave me what they thought was their reg, went to the police but nothing came of it. The most annoying thing about it was I'd only had the car repaired for exactly the same thing three weeks earlier, . DH and I were FUMING!!! I saw the first person do it and she said do you think i should leave a note, not realising that it was my car:cool: had I known what was on the cards though I wouldn't have bothered getting it done!
