I saw when in Regents Park the other week that pay and display parking doesn't kick in until 9am, so this morning I had a late start at work so I thought Id get up and drive down to do my running app (just finished week 4 of 8) so I have the park to run in rather than the mean streets of NW London.
Goregeous morning, lovely run, did an extra mile to previous (got lost so continued after the app programme finished)
Returned to car... £40 parking ticket!
Turns out no parking until 9am.
BALLS!
Och oh boy....sorry for giggling. That could only happen when you are trying to hammer your finances. Hugs
My expense yesterday? New macsafe adapter for macbook (this machine must have cost me about £300 past few weeks - £200 went on a new SSD - which was only semi needed LOL). So just when I get my head round CAP money and put some money in long term savings, I have adapter to buy and honey will need another trip to the vets within the next 2 weeks!

So true, the last month I have been trying to hammer my finances and something comes up week after week to set me back.
HOWEVER
The positive from this is that a few months ago this would have happened and it would have gone on a credit card.
Now, I've just adjusted my budget and no credit is needed, not even an overdraft! That is an achievementSantander 0% £1,529.94

Hahaha I love that llama! Thank you Erme!
Another lovely weekend passed, we had a very quiet one didn't spend too much and even had an afternoon by the sea with BF's granny yesterday which was lovely.
Had a really good talk with the BF yesterday revisiting the house buying, we have decided to go with a flat/apartment to keep the costs down we still want to be able to save money as well and not be crippled by a mortgage. There are quite a few in the area we like at the moment so once BF confirms he is not working this weekend I am going to book some viewings.
My probation review is a week today so all please keep fingers crossed that I pass and will be in a position to apply for a mortgage!
EEK!
Hope you all had nice weekends LG xSantander 0% £1,529.94

Hi all,
Hope you all had good weekends, ours was good!
We saw 5 flats/apartments on Saturday unfortunately none were right for us, I'm a bit worried that what we want/need isn't available in our budget it's an expensive part of the UK. We'll have to keep at it and hope something comes up.
My probation review has been delayed until tomorrow unfortunately so hopefully there'll be some good news on that.
Spending is going OK. I have cancelled my horse-riding for the next few weeks, I need to keep that money aside for our USA trip. BF has paid for the flights so I owe him £600 and we're going in August and currently I have no spending money and we haven't looked at hotels yet!
Busy week up ahead both work and socially so the challenge will be to balance it all while meal planning and not over spending.
Ran just over 2miles today, shins were a bit sore but foot felt OK so that is progress. Tonight I am meeting my friend in the local park for a boxing circuits sesh which should be good... free, social and healthy!

firstly crossing my fingers regarding your probation - I am sure you will pass with flying colours!
Also - the whole flat thing. I am sure you can afford it and well done on being sensible but this part of the UK is so much (why I am moving!) but have a look and think will it really fall in value? If there is another recession perhaps a short term drop but over the longer term will you really be in the red?
Mainly good luck with both! x
