That's crazy! So irresponsible!!!
The guy I just spoke to on the phone tried to put the onus back on me saying I would have known I was opening up a credit account. I batted that straight back with my research from this morning stating they know they have a problem with this from the Which consumer group etc and if I had known I was setting up a credit account I would have stopped immediately.Santander 0% £1,529.94

Thanks Erme hope you are recovered now!
Hi guys!
Hope you had good weekends, mine was a little too good and I am feeling horrible today. Massively over did it on the booze yesterday.
Relatively un-spendy thought. Apart from a trip to homebase to help re-organise my room which was under £30, and today is a new month which means a new budget to play with.
I thought I was really good at tracking where my money was spent but now I have had my eyes opened and my budget is a whole lot more realistic than it was before, no wonder I always ended up reverting to credit cards.
Off to be hung over now. WHY WHY on a Sunday?!Santander 0% £1,529.94

Sorry snickering LG at you being hung over......
I am doing the CAP money budget which you can get via a church that does CAP money courses (free) and getting my head round it. A lot more secure than what I was doing (no more checking online banking every 2 secs to see if the 101st DD had come out or not). It may be worth a try? Or for people that simply can't afford YNAB.
Anyhow.. life is still slowly returning to routines etc though was up at some ungodly hour so will be tired and anxious later
Have a good day and wrap up warm - tis baltic out there!!!

Hope that goes well Erme, let us know what you think!
Well I had a friends birthday meal last night and at my own fault was a victim of bill sharing, I just had a burger and coke which should have been about £12 but I paid £43 as everyone else at Chatauebriand and pinot noir. Frustrating when I am trying so hard to keep on track but the friends in question are usually very generous and have treated me in the past so I am letting it slide this time! I should have shouted up but I didn't feel it was the occasion to.
I failed on prepping lunches for this week so I am off now to buy my second lunch outside, grrr! Also I have work drinks tonight (paid for) but I need to make sure I eat beforehand so will need to grab a sandwich for that and it all adds up!!!
Hoping its not a late one tonight so I can cook some chicken and sweet potato when I get home for lunch the rest of the week.

Did the right thing letting it slide - BUT you should have seen that coming and had chateaubriand and pinot noir - would have added maybe £2 to your share of the bill and you would have doubled your VFMI think I saw you in an ice cream parlour

I had a very expensive run this morning!
I saw when in Regents Park the other week that pay and display parking doesn't kick in until 9am, so this morning I had a late start at work so I thought Id get up and drive down to do my running app (just finished week 4 of 8) so I have the park to run in rather than the mean streets of NW London.
Goregeous morning, lovely run, did an extra mile to previous (got lost so continued after the app programme finished)
Returned to car... £40 parking ticket!
Turns out no parking until 9am.
