If I get an invitation email sent to me for Consumer Pulse or Pine Kone then I will let you know via PM because sometimes they have recruitment drives. Pine Kone (not true spelling) will pay in Luncheon Vouchers or you can ask for paypal payments. I have just switched to paypal because I have so many books of LVs to use up.

That's really kind, thank you I'd appreciate that

I think tonight might be the perfect time to [STRIKE]outline[/STRIKE] detail to your friends just the state you are in. Tell them you HAVE to batch cook, that you are relying on support from this forum, your debt-free date, everything. If a friend told me all this I'd be so supportive and encouraging. The spag bol can be the conversation starter!

Its just occurred to me - I wonder how often spag bol is mentioned on this forum. Hehe.

Horace - can I be second in line for those invitations? I've signed up with globalmarketsurvey and mysurvey but get screened out a lot, and its taking me a very long time to earn a decent amount of points!

You could be right, I just feel a bit ... dunno... nervous, embarrassed, hesitant.... I know you're right and if they are true friends they'll be supportive. No, I will. I'll talk to them later and hopefully it will help.

I have read about spag bol a thousand times! hahaha We must put dolmio sales through the roof!!

I have just re-newed my railcard, £28 a year and it saves me that much on less than 2 train trips home. I had budgeted it into this month already so I'm not counting it into my NSD allowance.

    NSD day for me! :D

  • Friends just left, had a lovely evening, both v happy to stay in and eat.... SPAG BOL! haha I brought up money briefly and skimmed over the value of debt but said I was paying off some stuff and the budget I was on for the near future they accepted that and think the next time I say I can't afford something it will be easier now I've explained properly. I guess me just suddenly changing my money and therefore social with no explanation must have seemed a bit odd to them.

I should be able to have another NSD tomorrow all being well, I have bread and beans for brekky, lunch at work and soup for dinner sorted.

    Night all

    Morning gang,

Already failed on the NSD day for me :( I needed a few essentials from B00ts however I did only spend £4.49 so well under my £10 daily spend and I saw on my receipt I have clocke dup £26.91 worth of points! Now, they will come in very handy at xmas for the girls presents - hopefully on 3 for 2 as well :)

I also sold another CD on Amazon last night earning £5.25 so now that £15.41 in my account, hopefully things will keep selling and I can build up a chunk of cash there to make a snowball at a credit card.

Today's started off well, have a good one all...

Got anything to complain about at Boots? I sent them an email complaining that every time I bought something they'd give me a £5 LADIES skin care voucher and to apologise they gave me 500 points :-)

Haha that's brilliant! I haven't at the moment but will look for a reason! I did complain to Tesco before about ice cream and general customer service and got a £5 voucher :)

  • A few more positive things to report. I have changed the address on my Tesco club card – I only just realised that I hadn’t received statements since I moved house. So I will start getting my vouchers etc to use again

I have also ordered a new nectar card as I lost mine, and in doing so found out I have points worth £21.78! That can be another help towards xmas – I can buy niece and god daughter token girly items from the clothes section niece aged 1 god daughter aged 3.

Tonight I need to start studying for my exam in November on Business Enterprise for CIMA (read business bo11**ks) so will go to the library on the way home or I don’t get enough peace to revise.

I also need to finish my spreadsheet, I organised a charity ball last month with 4 others and now that all costs are paid and all income is accounted for I can finalise my figures and report the final sum we made. Organising that ball was blooming hard work and we only had 10 weeks to pull the whole thing together, so I will be pleased to get rid of it! There is talk of “next year we will….” Or “next year we won’t do that…” ERM no thanks… never again! I’d rather climb Kilimanjaro to raise money than go through that again. That cost me money too, as the meetings were held in a private members club in Mayfair and each week we’d have a bottle of wine or 2 and take it in turns to buy snacks – I ended up missing a meeting as I couldn’t afford it!

Before my finance days started ooh coming up to 5 years back now, I was a trainee hairdresser and qualified as a colour technician. I occasionally still use this skill to highlight my girlfriends hair – they save £££’s by avoiding the hairdressers and I just charge them for the colours I buy and they give me a little extra if they’re pleased – If I keep it as a hobby like this and as it’s not regular at all I avoid tax implications so I don’t charge set amounts. I did my best friend’s hair for free as her wedding present last month and another friend has just invited me over for dinner and asked if I’d mind doing hers – I already have 2/3 of her colours at home so I just need to buy one more for about £6.95 which she will pay me back for.

Did you read the latest MSE email, it had a section in it about locating lost Tesco vouchers. I found $5 worth of vouchers. Its somewhere on the Tesco Clubcard site, then you can print them off and use. I'll have a hunt for you.
