Now now girls;););) You pair really make me giggle, my mums called Eileen and we are exactly the same as you two. She even does loads of cooking for me as that was what she trained as years ago.Only difference is she comes to my house and does the cooking, as she's on her own since my dad died, but she loves cooking.Beware!!!! Glitching is addictive:rotfl:0 -

As long as it's not too heavy
;) Most of us I think use this thread for a bit of escapism and light relief, and obviously to save money:)
That's OK I'm all for a bit of light relief and escapism. On that theme (clears throat tentatively) how about a bit of education while it's quiet tonight on deals? This is not meant to be patronising if most people already know but I noticed a few questions about the Sabatier Knives re quality:)
I spent some time in Thiers, France the birthplace of the Sabatier where every other shop sells all sorts of steel blades, axes, swords etc. The name comes from "something" de Thier which contracted to Sabatier. It came before the advent of trademarks etc and only implies a quality as anyone can use the term to describe a cooks knife. The cheapest Chinese steel can be used to produce a Sabatier. Only knives produce in Thiers France would be considered true Sabatiers but even then it should have a suffix or prefix to the term Sabatier to prove it is a registered brand worthy of the Sabatier name.
Having said all of that I got one of the Sabatier Block sets today and it looks at first glance good quality even though you would pay a fortune for a true SabatierAwaiting a new sig0 -

Sunshine - im gutted for you and just hope it'll turn up when you're not looking for it ! It could be anywhere as after all its lost ! I know some think it could've been the neighbour but thats not necessarily fair ! If you guys were rushing you could easily have lifted it and then put it down somewhere that you forgot ! Just hope it comes to you !:(0
