I took something back the other day to have one removed, just walked in through security barriers, set off alarm and went no further till 'eventually' the security woman appeared.... she didn't even ask for the receipt but removed tag for me, I must have an honest looking face :o:D..... Then I came home from that trip with another item with security tag on , but spotted another poster who said they can be pulled off. Bit of a job, but I got a large screwdriver in to prise open a gap, then needdle nose pilers, so it is possible... You just have to watch firstly not to stab the material with the screwdriver, but mainly, do not have your hand in front of the screwdriver blade or pliers point..... We do not want any MSE'er sitting in A&E when they should be in Mr T.......
Oh dear, I feel and Eileen poem coming on there... where is she when we need her???? ;););)

Might give it a go myself, or maybe I should just take them back, but what if they look at the receipt and it only shows £1 but the pyjamas show £14?? That could get intresting at the CS desk...

*off to find the pliers* ;)

I set the alarm off in my local walking out with couple pairs of these pjs! Shame as they were so nicely wrapped in plastic bag but that had to be ripped open to get to tag.

I went in and out 3 times and nothing!

Personally I would not try removing myself again as DD2 was given some pjs one Christmas and it was not until later in the year we noticed tag still attached and with DHs best efforts the material is damaged by the neck.

I don't think there will be a problem if you go back as security guard had to look at my receipt yesterday and the description is correct for the item. It's not like they have not had lots of things going through for £1 lately. SA didn't bat an eyelid when I bought the mens jacket for 75p yesterday. HTHs
  • artha - sounds like you only got one discount on the batteries. There should have been B1GCF (Buy one get cheapest free) on any A/AAA duracell batteries AND BIGCF on Duracell Ultras

I don't think I wouldn't attempt a tag thats on T-shirt material as yes, I can see how easily it would be damaged... but the ones I did were on the tough materiel on the PJ waistbands, so was ok. Just be careful of your hands if you do. :o
