One thing that has become apparant on MSE is that a sale of this kind brings out the worst in many people. Whether that is their attitude as staff to the sale, customers being agressive, people going OTT with purchases and the fact that is was just plain chaos.
At least with a Next sale, you know it is happening, the stock is mostly all out in one go and there is a little bit of order.
I think the bad PR Tesco will get from this will outway any benefits they have received.
They either need to organise it like Next, or (and I think this would be better) they should just donate all the stock to Oxfam/Barnardo's/British Heart foundation to either distribute to those here/overseas who need it or to sell in their shops and make some money on it.
There is no way that tesco could have made any money on 99% of the items they sold in this £1 thing so the charity route would have been better and given more people the chance to benefit from the discount.
Yes I have got some bits from it, cos I needed them, but would be happier going to get them from a charity shop and paying £2/£3 £10 for a coat knowing the money is going to do some good.0 -
Depends how many posts per page you have your settings on.Never pay more than you have too0

How do you change your settings?
Seems a good idea. Every time I try to go to next page on my iPhone, i hit the spam button by accident and have to 'unspam' it! Grrr!
At least with more posts on a page it would reduce this slightly!:A Every moment is a gift. That's why we call it the present.!:A

WOT!!!!!!!! Wales is playing in the semi finals rugby against France... I thought everyone knew that;);););)
They were bringing Welsh T-shirts out in Tesco this PM for £19.99... Hmmmmmmmmm they might be joining the £1 rail tomorrow afternoon!!!!!! :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:0 -
There was egg chasing welsh tops in my T today for a quid so that's a sign don't know what it means but its a sign
Wales cause I love Super Furry Animals :j
SFA were great - do you remember them touring with their blue tank?
Well, I popped over to Br*ckne11 Home+ today to see what it was like and was totally disappointed.Huge bum fight around what seemed to be 1 measly rail of £1 clothes (and no, even at the bargain price of £1 i still didn't want an alice band with a little santa hat attached
) and found the store a bit depressing overall
No more 8p casserole dishes there (well from the ones I cluncked about and checked
) and don't think I'll be heading back there anytime soon.
