Second phone on voda /credit check?
Comments

Not absolutely certain, but to my knowledge:-
1) they will consider adding another contract once the payment on the existing one has been taken
2) they allocate a certain number of contracts to (at least in some cases) existing custmers - in that case they should just accept a new one up to the number they have on their system0 -
Thanks for the reply.
I am looking to get a contract phone for my husband because his credit is poor.0 -
Hi FRESTER,
If you have not long had your original contract, it will be based on your or initial credit check result.
If you have been on contract for longer than three months with us, we will also take that into consideration.
Kind regards,
Heidi

Ordered the iPhone 4s over the phone yesterday and it seemed to be put through as a new account and not related to my current account at all.
The person I spoke to said it was because the phone had to be ordered from apple which I thought a bit strange.
Anyway I got a email saying a credit check would be completed and I would receive a email with a confirmation if passed.I have been with Vodafone for two years and never been late with a payment so hoping it goes through.
Anyone know how long the credit check takes?0 -
It's instant, as the connections with the Credit Reference agency are constant. If you mean how long before they tell you.... that's a different matter. How long is a piece of string?0

Just call customer services and ask them to checkDon't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.0

Hi FRESTER,
I know it may be confusing but when you are placing a pre-order as it asks for the same information for existing customers as it does for new customers.
Once the order processes, it will recongnise your existing account and link the order to that without doing an additional credit check. It will simply check the original credit check results.
I trust that clears up the confusion.
