EDF paid my ESE December reading very quickly, but 3 weeks later still hadn't paid my WNW. Quick call to check nothing was wrong, and they'd pulled it aside for manual checking due to it's size ..... small, not large!

Oh well, at least they're on the ball, even if they can't magically improve winter gen on a "N" install. ;)

    Mart.
Mart. Cardiff. 8.72 kWp PV systems (2.12 SSW 4.6 ESE & 2.0 WNW). 20kWh battery storage. Two A2A units for cleaner heating. Two BEV's for cleaner driving.

For general PV advice please see the PV FAQ thread on the Green & Ethical Board.

Same here. Reading submitted early morning 1st Jan; auto-acked 4pm on 1st and I see from my bank statement that money arrived today - though no advice note from SP yet.

Also paid from a (new ?) Lloyds-Scottish account.

Is anyone else having fun and games with SSE
I had a letter from them in December telling me that they're bringing in a new payment system(to speed things up..lol) and to not submit my readings until I receive another letter telling me what/when my new reading days are. Spoke to them last month and was again told "all the letters are going out next week" but here I am...5 months of readings and not a flaming clue as to when to submit readings again.
These guys really couldn't organise a P up in a brewery

Please someone tell me I'm not on my own? I have enough battles with them quarterly because of their disasters without more complications

I am with E.ON and receive a good service. I submit readings after sundown on 25th of each quarter and usually receive payment in around 7 days. Shortest was 5 and longest was 11, over the Christmas and New Year period - reading provided on Christmas Day.

Yeah, I haven't heard anything since that initial letter either... Annoying - the new system was supposed to be quicker and easier. haha!

6 months on and my system hasn't even been registered yet.... In fact I might call them up now, last time I called they were working on August applications....
4 Kwp System, South Facing, 35 Degree Pitch, 16 x 250W Solarworld Panels, SMA Sunnyboy 3600 Inverter, Installed 02/09/14 in Sunny South Bedford - £5600
Growatt AC Coupled SPA3000tl and 6.5kWh battery Installed Apr 2022
  • Just got off the phone to SSE regarding their new payment system. Despite them taking my last meter reading in August last year and them now owing me over £600 in FIT payments it would seem their new system for payments STILL isn't finished or working.

How on earth does a blue chip company screw up things so badly ? If I owed them £600 I'm sure they would be knocking down my door for the money !!!

They have taken a meter reading off me that will go into a queue somewhere for my payment. I said - so hang on - your old system used to take like 7 weeks for the payment to come through. How do you know which will be faster ? Wait for the new one to come live or process under the old one ??? The guy said. I don't know. There is a massive backlog of payments either way. Does anyone know if I leave and they owe me money - do they have to pay this ??

    Thanks

    Paul
