Sounds like they are making it up as they go along. My claim goes in to SP tonight and I shall be jolly unhappy if it takes over a month to come through.

Couldn't agree more about the making up as they go scenario !

But just in case the 'new rule' is true, this evening would be a vey bad time to make a claim. SP might argue that they didn't receive it until 1st Oct so won't pay until 30th Nov.

Strongly suggest you make claim immediately and hope that someone looks at it before the end of today. That should guarantee payment by 31st Oct.

Probably too late to make a difference now so I'll stick to the original plan. I'll see what the message says when I submit it - it used to say 28 days.

Edit: reading submitted and it still says "Your reading will be processed and you will receive your payment within 28 days (provided it has been more than 90 days since your last reading)." It's rather disconcerting that SP's online FIT-reporting facility does not have the ability to send email confirmations, whereas the consumption meter reading submission does.

    Good luck !

Afraid in mid August they weren't bothering to send out any acknowledgements. I only got one after bombarding SP with reports of their system failing and the same email that advised me of the (allegedly) standard conditions went on to say that I shouldn't expect acknowledgements.

As previously suggested : making it up as they went along seems likely !

Pleased to hear that; let's hope "normal service has been resumed" :T

Afraid I'm not confident though ! Let us know when you actually see the dosh.

EDF have the 90 day payment terms in the contract to fall back on whenever they want to delay (although I think it would cause a storm of protest if they took that long and I'm not sure it's even legal to have such a long term). They've been so good recently too. I've just submitted my latest reading so we'll see when that is paid.

Looks like Orrery and Nikki caught EDF at a bad time of the month. I sent my reading on 24/9 and have just received BACS payment advice so fair dos.

Hiya, payment on mine received this morning, with the claim submitted on the 23rd in the evening.

Not sure why they would deal with claims so differently, let's hope they were just having a bad start to the month.

    Mart.

We also submitted on the 23rd, but only received the e mail from EDF confirming payment amount today. No money in bank as yet.

Much slower than in the last 3 quarters.

Yes - that's my impression too. They all started to be super-quick after the adverse publicity but are now slipping.

Just to provide another data point, I submitted my meter reading to EdF on 11 September and payment hit my bank account on 18 September.

    Update....

Payment in our account today, so about 10 days.

Not too bad, but certainly worse than before.
