It may be simpler than that - last time I claimed early in the month, but this time I claimed late in the month. Thus the period is nearer 4 (peak) months than 3. You'd have thought that their system would keep track of dates though ... ?4kWp, Panels: 16 Hyundai HIS250MG, Inverter: SMA Sunny Boy 4000TLLocation: Bedford, Roof: South East facing, 20 degree pitch20kWh Pylontech US5000 batteries, Lux AC inverter,Skoda Enyaq iV80, TADO Central Heating control0 -

EDF
Again reading posts here I decided to send in our FIT meter reading on Friday, they emailed me at the beginning of the month asking for it.
First glitch came as I got an onscreen message asking me to check my meter reading as it was `outside their prediction` ( or something like that ). I pressed enter again, as I knew it was correct and was asked to explain why it was the reading it was !
All I could think of saying was that perhaps it was because I had been away on holiday ( Not ) and the period covered was slightly longer than previous ones. I did also say that I presumed that EDF already knew it was a `summer` reading and thus should be our peak production.
I only hope that I don`t get a delay in payment as a result.
Time will tell.
Spank my bottom for doubting you EDF :j

Something has definitely happened at EDF? But I'm not complaining.
Mart.
Payment received today.
Does this not only shoot EDF up the performance table, but possibly make them the quickest now at 4 working days turnaround?
4 days includes Thursday and Tuesday, despite submitting late Thurs, and monies in account early Tues! WOWZA.

Yes - submitted 23rd, remittance received 24th! Superb - well done EDF.
But they're still French - and there's nothing they'll be able to do about that.

Does anybody know if E.ON are just as quick with payment if you email the reading? I abandoned that method after they started getting slow and before I was put on the automated system.0

Earlier today got a phonecall from EDF in reply to my chaser e-mails asking why they've paid my main account, but seemingly ignored the recent small extension.
Apparently my reading of 295 (last few days of July to 20 September) was thrown up as an anomaly as it was only 39% of expected. Nice to know they don't just look for over claims, but 'unders' too.
I explained to the nice lady, that it's only 2kWp and points WNW, and that according to my best calculations it's running at about 105% of target so far. She said that she had all that information, but was duty bound to let me know it was massively underperforming according to them. She advised me to contact my installer asap.
I was able to run all the PVGIS numbers off my head, but she remained unimpressed, but said if I was happy, then she'd release the payment, but I should look into it.
My only guess, is that despite confirming to me that she knew it was a late July install, that they are still comparing my reading to a whole quarter (1st June - 31st August).
Oh well, and they were doing so well up to today!
