  • Hi Rockbird
I suggest you ring them. ask to speak to complaints dept. They may have to ring you back. Insist they move you to the new system. In my case it did then take 15 days. Although someone on this thread said they set up a payment straight away. Once everything is on new system we are getting payments through within the week.
I don't think sending them e mails does any good at all.
    Hi
I must admit that I have not spoken to the complaints department but on the 3rd June I was promised by phone that I would be on the new system and that the April payment could take a while longer whereas the payment for July would be very quick. Apart from the emails I have had no reaction to the complaints form that I submitted except for an auto response saying that they will respond in full within 10 days. That period elapses by the end of this week. If that does not occur I will try calling the complaints department that you suggest. I do however feel that we are being taken for mugs.

UPDATE regarding our meter reading to eon

Just phoned Eon to give meter reading and to see if we are on the new system. They confirmed that we are. So far so good.

Next gave meter reading, which they accepted and was told we will get our payment within 7 to 10 days. I said "so that will go straight into our bank account". The Eon represenitive said "we do not seem to have your bank account details, I am sure it would have been on your application though, so I could find it and add the missing details to your account. So I offered her our bank details again as I did not want it to hold up our long awaited first payment. So I gave her the details there and then. She then said because they did not have our bank details on our account our first payment will be made within 10-15 working days.

As we had the pvs installed in Feb and have not had to give a meter reading until today. I totally forgot to give 2 readings, one being upto 31st March and the other for up till now. I actually remembered whilst I was talking to her on the phone. I said that I should of given her 2 readings. She said the reading up to 31st March would be estimated as she could not now enter another reading. But, if I wanted to give the correct reading up to March 31st over the phone there and then they would have to close our account down and set it up all over again. I promptly said NO THANK YOU, I would rather have it estimated. But I asked her to put a note on our account of the 31st March reading anyway, which she did.

So anyone who is with Eon please check that they have your bank details on your account when giving your first meter reading.

Will keep you updated as to when we receive our first payment.

    Ed

    UPDATE ON FIRST PAYMENT

Phoned in my generation reading on 17th August as above.

HOORAH!!!! Today money now in bank account. They said it would be in our account within 15 working days. It took 10 working days. So am pleased with that!!!

Our panels were installed on 14th Feb 2012 and this is the first ever payment we have received.

Happy to be on the new system with Eon and happy they paid within the timescale that they gave us when phoning in our reading.

    Things are looking better!!!

Have you checked the end of March reading?

    Hello John

Yes I have. Sorry I forgot to mention that in my last message.

They did estimate it in the end. Their estimated reading was slightly higher than our actual reading up to 31st March. But, to be honest it was under £1 so I was ok with it.

    Thanks

We submitted the 3rd quarterly reading by phone to E.ON's FiT team late on Wed 22nd Aug (they suggested e-mail might be OK next time, but phone is still preferable currently - I also chose to speak to a person as opposed to leave a recording, just to be safe).

The electronic transfer reached our account by the end of Wed 29th Aug - 5 working days later, a great improvement on the 48 days previously!

    Well done, finally!

Guess you could call that 4 working days as 25th, 26th, and the 27th were not classed as working days.:D

Looks like they are all starting to get their acts together.

Submitted meter read to British Gas on 14 August via their new online form. Payment was sent out on 18 August. All we need now is direct bank payment not cheque but can live with that with 4 day payout!
Remember the saying: if it looks too good to be true it almost certainly is.

I started this thread about a year ago after e.on started delaying their payments.

Thanks to those who've been posting here, and making high-level complaints to e.on, they've finally cracked it.

Four days from telephone claim to the money in my account - that's excellent.

Thanks e.on - and thanks, too, to everyone else who joined in with this. ;)
