Payment received today, so a mid month reading took 1 month. Previous payment 27/4/12, so 11 days faster this time.

I assume (?) that all payments will go through nowish, if so, then a late month reading is probably the best with EDF. Interesting to know if the early and late submissions are paid at this same time.

    Mart.

I submitted my reading on 26 June -- no payment yet. I will report back when I have received it.

[FONT=Calibri, sans-serif] Hello and thanks for your Feed-in Tariff meter reading. We’ll use this to work out your payment which we’ll send to your chosen bank account in the next 45 days.

Please accept our apologies for this lengthy timescale we are currently working towards improving this by moving from a manual process onto a fully integrated automated system which will allow us to service your FIT account in a quicker and more efficient way. We appreciate your patience and understanding whilst we complete this migration.

This isn't about delays as such, but just to let people know that Scottish Power now has a web address for submitting FIT readings at www.scottishpower.co.uk/fitread. It doesn't ask for an email address, which is a little odd as it would be nice to get a confirmation back. It says that payment will be within 28 days, historically they have always done a lot better than this, so I hope that's just to cover themselves in case it's a bit late.

This is in addition to the existing procedure for reporting by telephone or email. I had found the email system a little unreliable, so had taken to doing it by phone (0141 568 6379), let's hope the online system works smoothly.
I received the BACS remittance advice in the post yesterday and the money was credited to my account overnight, so the new online system works and took 15 days from submission to cleared payment. Another positive for Scottish Power.

  • Terrible experience with E-on, two payments and both have taken hours of chasing up and waiting '11 days' '10 days' '45 days' ! etc. So much so I was thinking of switching if you can but apparently they are migrating to an automated system which should see payment been made 5 days after meter reading.
I ve just recieved payment after 70+ days so next reading is
almost due - we ll see.

I did ask for interest on the money they owed me and got it! Rounded up!

hi there I submitted a FIT reading to EON on the 1st June and received an automated email stating payment would be made in 45 days. I have received my first payment back in March which was much faster than this.

It is now day 48 (the 18th July) and I don't appear to have received payment as yet.

Any suggestions on what to do next? I've already emailed them but just got a holding email about 45 days and delays.

    thanks in advance

I suggest that you go through their complaints procedure.

You could phone them up and discuss it.

I phoned in my reading today and they confirmed I was on the new automated system. I was told payment would be made within the next 5 days:jI'll be impressed if that's the case.

I rang them (on the number on the last FIT statement), they were very helpful. I received my payment about a week later. If you don't get someone who is very helpful the first time you ring, keep trying.
