I've been registered with EON FIT payments since November 2011 and received my first payment without any problems. However the reading for the second payment (submitted on 28/05 and due to be paid by 13/07) has not yet been paid. I telephoned them on 20/07 and was told that it had not been migrated to their computer system and now that I'd ran it would take another 3 weeks to process.
What a complete shambles. What if I hadn't phoned? Other than the automated reply when I submitted my reading I have not received any communication from EON and so was completely unaware that they hadn't got their act together.
I wonder what would happen if I didn't pay my electricity bill and then when they took action told them I hadn't migrated their account to my new computer system and therefore it would take me another 3 weeks to pay them?:mad:0 -

I have done and it doesn't make me feel any better. I was quite happy with the way EON treated me regarding the contract & first payment. Likewise I have no issues waiting the prescribed time as it's then a regular 3 months. However to delay the due payment because of their migrating to a computerised system of payments and without providing any information on the delay is not an acceptable way of dealing with things. If I had not have telephoned them I would still be no wiser and without any idea of when payment could be expected.
Make a formal complaint (http://www.eonenergy.com/At-Home/Contact/Complaint/) - it's the only approach that gets any attention at all from e.on, and you also get the satisfaction of knowing that it has at least cost them a bit of money to process the complaint. You might also get some compensation from them for the delays and aggravation caused.
The more formal complaints they receive, the more likely it is that they'll do something.
I started this thread in September 2011 - 10 months ago - and since then the delays from e.on have got worse and worse. They constantly promise that it's going to get better, but it never does - unless you complain formally and get yourself put onto their new system.0 -
So have we demonstrated that with EDF, as SDJ speculated, that it is best to wait till the last day possible as the submission date makes no difference to the payment date?
I reckon so. If for an early or mid month claim, the monies aren't arriving substantially quicker (or possibly even arriving later) then it's probably best to submit near the end of month.
At least that way the month in question's generation gets paid 3 months or so earlier, than claiming it next go around!

Well, that seals it - same payment date as me, but I submitted 18 days earlier.4kWp, Panels: 16 Hyundai HIS250MG, Inverter: SMA Sunny Boy 4000TLLocation: Bedford, Roof: South East facing, 20 degree pitch20kWh Pylontech US5000 batteries, Lux AC inverter,Skoda Enyaq iV80, TADO Central Heating control0 -
With regard to E.ON's new automated system. Phoned in my reading on the 18th as reported in an earlier post and the money was in my account this morning (24th), so well impressed with E.ON again. It's a shame these companies get themselves all this negative publicity for the sake of putting in a few more resources.0

It does look like EDF are establishing a pattern. I submitted my readings on 28th of month both last quarter and previous and received remittance advice on 24th of following month both times. Happy with that but aware that their terms say they have up to 90 days to pay so if cash gets tight....0

BACS remittance advice email received from EDF last night (for reading dated 25/6, submitted 26/6). Should hit the joint account tomorrow fingers crossed, 29 days after reading submission.
Edit: have worked out that EDF used allocated about 15% of my Q2 units to the old FiT rates, and 85% to the new rates. This is consistent with a linear estimation of the 31st March meter reading based on our 16/3 and 25/6 reading. EDF's estimate was about 20kWh less than our actual reading on 31st March (which I couldn't submit as I was away).Cider Country Solar PV generator: 3.7kWp Enfinity system on unshaded SE (-36deg azimuth) & 45deg roof0
