I'm with British gas they sent me an e-mail on the 13th June saying I would receive my cheque within working 28 days. I phoned them after 30 days and was told that the cheque had been raised a few days after the 13th June. I'm still waiting and it's now 34 working days.
I take some comfort from another respondant who said they got paid after 40 days.:(0 -

Thank you Supersub! If I hadn't seen your post on here (I too have been with EON since November 11) I would never have realised there was a problem, and, like you, I would have had to wait for ages as nobody had bothered to process my details onto the new system! I asked the poor phone monkey what would have happened if I hadn't paid my electricity bill within 2 months - all she said was that she'd get straight onto putting my details into the new system, but that will take 15 days, and the actual payment will take a further 7 working days! Grrr! That will mean the next reading will be due by the time the payment for the last hits my account... Oh well, at least it'll be in time to cover next month's 0% balance transfer that I'm using to pay off the panels ;D0

Very upset with EON.
First fit meter reading given on the 23rd may, still have not had any payment, despite several phone calls.
I have now put in an e-mail complaint.
I can't believe they keep saying to me that my next payment will be quicker as i have been moved over to their new system. I don't care about the next payment, i want this one first!!!!0 -

I felt the same way, but once you're on that new system, I think E.ON will probably be the most efficient payers out of all the providers (5 working days from reading).0 -
Hi
This is not about FiTs payment for registration. I had SP Installed 6th June 2012. On 9th June I sent application to register for FiT with Npower. They received the documents on 12th June.
Today 2nd August I received term and conditions to sign and post. So it Took few days shy of 2 months for the process. After they receive the signed T&C they will make a contact to say they received them as for the meter reading, not sure how long that will take.

YouGen are doing a survey of Microgenerators to canvas opinions of FiT suppliers. I'd imagine that most of the posters on this thread would have opinions they'd like to share:

I filled out the survey a few days back but the more responses they get the more clout the results will have for naming and shaming the worst providers, and praising those that get it right.Cider Country Solar PV generator: 3.7kWp Enfinity system on unshaded SE (-36deg azimuth) & 45deg roof0 -
3.9Kw installed on 23rd August 2011. E-on advised on 11th Sept 2011. No registration pack. Chased Nov 2011. No registration Pack - chased Dec 2011. Registration pack arrived Jan 2011. Advised of Dec reading date? Complaint after complaint, and always sorry - we are very busy but no payment. Finally told would pay in 45 days - now 55 days passed and no payment. I expressed concern that E-on could treat their customers like this and was told that I wasn't a customer!!! - is it possible that they are prioritising their own customers? Escalated and today told that I have been put onto the "new system", and will be paid in 2 weeks. Not holding my breath!0

FIRST UTILITY
14th June gave generation meter read
4th July they said:Please find attached your Indicative FIT statement for Quarter 1 2012/13. We expect that payment will reach you during the week commencing 20th August 2012.
If your technology was registered before 1st April 2012 you may see an estimated read for the 31st March 2012. This is due to First Utility proportioning part of the generation into FIT year 2
We had problems registering the FIT with them as well. Very slow0 -

I agree, it seems they are slowly but surely improving their service from being apparently the worst performing FiT payment company to one of the best. The pain of the changeover has had to be felt by so many here & elsewhere but as you point out, those have forced the issue and complained seem to be on the new system with good or excellent results. I can only hope the same is true for us when our next reading goes in on22nd Aug.We’ve had to remove your signature.
