Lovefilm free trial problems (merged threads)

had simliar problems - 3 week free trial, cancelled it before the end still got billed £9.99 and they still are looking to bill me 1 month later. Avoid like the plague.

Try FilmCircle - the customer service is personal and quick. They don't demand payment details up front. It's exchange rather than rental, so disks are yours to keep, along with the cover and it's much cheaper. Disks sets come together rather than one at a time at random. I used this code to get 4 months free trial : WB374938E

Tip. If you're using Lovefilm and you want to cancel. Send the discs back atleast 7 days before free trial ends. If they do not show as returned, tell them they are lost in post a few days before your trial ends and empty your wishlist. This worked for me, but it didn't work for a friend. Lovefilm sent her out a replacement DVD and so took the next months subscription.

Also if it does look like Lovefilm might charge you (you didn't send discs back in time) change the package deal the day before the trial ends to a cheaper one. You'd get charged, but instead of £15, it will be £3!

I've tried e-mailing cd-wow who have just thanked me for bringing the situation to their attention.

I would never deal with this company again, they are unethical and rip you off, I had loads os problems with them, never again!
