I've never been into my English branch of RBS, so had no hesitation in opening an account in Glasgow.

RBS & Natwest customers will be able to pay money in at the Post Office soon.

I think its being announced nearer to the time of the actual take over though.

We have to tell people before opening new accounts. Think I've only had one person reconsider.

But the others were probably not comprehensively peed off Santander customers.

Back when I was in branch, this disclaimer about the sale had to be read so the customer could make up their own mind.

Regarding the transfer of accounts...let's just say those affected will be notified very, very, very, very, very soon. :p

Glad I am in the process of opening an account elsewhere, before the stampede.

All accounts or just Basic/Step? I was thinking of getting a Co-op Cashminder so I could do this from time to time without having to find the nearest Natwest.
  • Being able to pay in and take money out at the Post Office is a big plus... hence fact I have a Co-op Cashminder account :D

You can keep your HSBC, Natwest, etc. :p

Who do think pays for for all the fancy TV ads showing you how "nice" banks are and how they "really look after you"?...YOU DO!

  • So is this true then? RBS are becoming part of the Santander group? Is this confirmed anywhere? Does anyone have a link to any info? Also, will this have any impact on Natwest?
