Im not making cupcakes anymore so this fits in perfectly.
AWW that's a shame.
I love the way people poo poo the idea of comps, until you start winning stuff and then they all start with... I never win anything. Well, do you enter? No. What do you expect?
When I told DH I was a comper, he thought I was mad, then it was where is the car, the holidays, the cash, etc. I am just not one of those lucky enough to win those, but have won lots of prizes over the years.
So good luck Nat. She will be laughing on the other side of her face when you start winning.0 -
Thanks Aesop, whats the best item you've won? I won a voice command robot last year when I did xmas comps for my boy, worth £50. It was a local comp so wouldnt be surprised if I was the only entry!
Yeah it is a shame about the cakes but I dont enjoy it anymore, customers have taken the joy out of baking for me. It wasnt a great earner, the kitchen was a state and 3 kids in tow was no fun when setting up wedding cakes!2025 Mortgage start £378K 2025 Overpayment £103 Savings Challenge 2025 **MONEY MAKES ME HAPPY**0 -

I havent been doing that brilliantly to be honest, however, I need to ask if I can include some things. Today my mum gave me a cheque for £2K that has been made payable to my Virgin CC (in 2 weeks or so she will be giving me another £2K), she also gave me £150 cash to be used to buy petrol and a decent hair cut and colour. I am not sure if I can include that either..so if you could let me know that would be an enormous help. The way things are at the moment it would have taken me 11 years to pay off £4K at £1 a month.0

I dont have to wait long either to find out if I've won, I've started from the end so they all end in a few days
I think I can enter 25 a day, I'll do it whilst the kids are sleeping. Im on my own and do house stuff throughout the day so always have evenings free. Surveys are few and far between at the mo and Im not making cupcakes anymore so this fits in perfectly. Yes, dearest sister of mine, I may be 'sad'....but I've got nothing better to do! Whatever I dont want I'll save for xmas/birthdays and sell the rest on ebay
What comps site are you entering I just signed up to get me a ticket, any suggestions of other good ones to use will be greatly appreciated, on my 4 day week now and need to keep occupied but feet up at same time, so thought why not try my luck!! :beer:Make £0/£100 Feb 2016 (Late starter)

Well seeing as the 2k, or 4k altogether will be used directly to pay off debts, I would say absolutely count it! Let it motivate you as well rather than getting too comfy!
That is so wonderful of your mum to do that, hopefully it will make things much easier for you.
The money spent on petrol could be counted I would say if you put what you would have had to spend from your own money onto paying something off/saving. Possibly not the hair cut money though, as it sounds like you wouldn't have spent this yourself had your mum not given you the money.Half of November Make £10 a Day Challenge: £51/ £1700 -
I will add the £2K and £50. It costs me £50 to fill the car up completely and havent spend that much for an age only putting £20 in last time. I haven't had my hair done since March so it is well overdue and getting very grey because I just haven't had the spare cash for hair. I will put some money into my credit union account - may just put £30 in car and £20 in credit union because I am saving for a tv licence and road tax.
Next month I will add the other £2K. I have been in a real mess since July this year when I had the rug pulled from under me and I have managed to survive on very little (sometimes dare I say it going without food:eek:). Mum and Dad have filled my store cupboard and freezer so I don't need to go out and buy anything except milk and bread. Just hope that my credit file hasnt been too damaged because Virgin CC made loads of threats and that way once they are out of the way I can pay off my other debts which are not huge.0 -
I'm too late this month, but will give it ago next!0
