I hope some of you will have today seen the picture of the Forum Team top right of the page – and clicked it to see the information underneath it.
The Site and the Forum have grown hugely, and while I'm still very hands-on with the Main Site it's been a long time since I was involved in daily operations of the Forum. I still get into the overarching policy and development, but not how it works, contentious issues, and the technical side.
Many people still message me about these issues though – and I'm far from in a position to help (I no longer even have the right buttons to change things – partly as a security precaution as my log-in is an obvious one to try and hack).
So we thought it time to put a face to the people who actually spend the time and work hard to try and keep the Forum running, are making the decisions and are there to help – plus a more obvious route for people to contact.
While most of the people reading this will be regulars and understand the way the Forum operates, I hope the little box will give some guidance to newbies.
If you have any suggestions for it – do let us know.
Martin
PS. Any rumours that working on the Forum Team is stressful enough to make your hair fall out are hotly denied!

Sorry, don't like this at all.
Looks like a group of bouncers, which together with the rather authoritarian "WE RUN THE MSE FORUM" message, makes it look pretty scary and unwelcoming.
Perhaps retake the photo when everyone isn't wearing black, and perhaps smiling a little more? And maybe also change the message to "We're here to help" or something a little less harsh.
Just my two cents:money:

Did you steal the staff from the Jezza Kyle show?I made a mistake once, believeing people on the internet were my virtual friends. It won't be a mistake that I make again!0 -

Can I ask why you put your name to the forum then, if you not involved in contentious issues? Surely, its your reputation that gets damaged, if they are handled badly?[greenhighlight]but it matters when the most senior politician in the land is happy to use language and examples that are simply not true.
[/greenhighlight][redtitle]
The impact of this is to stigmatise people on benefits,
and we should be deeply worried about that[/redtitle](house of lords debate, talking about Cameron)0 -
they look like scary bouncers lolReplies to posts are always welcome, If I have made a mistake in the post, I am human, tell me nicely and it will be corrected. If your reply cannot be nice, has an underlying issue, or you believe that you are God, please post in another forum. Thank you0

I both own and run MoneySavingExpert - the forum is one a part of that - not a separate site.
However in the forum just like in the main site (where there are by-lines on many guides now) I think it is important people know who is involved.
The key is I am still look at the development of the forum, I post in it, I'm there thinking what big picture stuff can we do to improve it. I'm just not involved in day-to-day organisation and administration. That's done by the forum team, of which the picture is the four senior members.
Hope that makes senseMartin Lewis, Money Saving Expert.

Perhaps you can look into why people can call another poster a
"benefits scrounging malingerer who does everything they can to ensure that they can suckle from the teat of the tax payer without having to do a single thing in return for the rest of your entire life. "
and still be allowed to remain on the forum.
Especially, when after its pointed out that that would be reported (by another user) they turn round and say they dont care - they will sign up again under a fake acccount, I quoteDoesn't bother me. I can set up endless email addresses and use many IP addresses to log in unless MSE intends on banning every user of one of the largest ISPs in the country.
And the posts get removed when reported, but no answer given to the reports, and the poster remains.[greenhighlight]but it matters when the most senior politician in the land is happy to use language and examples that are simply not true.
