DS has just sprung on me that it is Roald dahl day at school tomorrow and I am expected to have an outfit all prepared for him... Oh and to bake cakes to donate to the school, so we can buy them back from them to raise money!
Id rather just give them the flipping money, but then your 'frowned upon' for being the mum-who-works-and-never-homebakes... LAst time, I handed in a bag of cakes from Mr S, instead of thanks from a PTA mother, i got "oh, of course, you have to work dont you - oh well never mind, these'll do!" Cheeky witch...
I swear to god I bought a sainsburys basics fruit loaf which will be hand sliced and popped into some tupperware tomorrow... and I bought some jaffa cake bars which can go in too for good measure...
Now I need to drum up a costume.
Anyway - LOs bed is made and he has been put in it, WM is only half full however two ironing baskets are overflowing
NOrmally I would catch up tomorrow as Id be off, but Im working tomorrow. So tomorrow night is looking a tad exciting... *rolleyes*
Dishes are done, Kitchen and LR have been tidied and swished. DR table has been cleared. Offloaded some boots, two boogie boards and a TD to a friend, so I decluttered a little bit
Anyway am off to have a glass of wine and make a fabulous costume out of absolutely nothing and with no inspiration...
Heaven help that boy at school tomorrow - its just as well we are moving away, hes about to become a social outcastSometimes lurking, sometimes posting, but always flying

took DD to guitar lesson (thanks to generous offer from my sister, who's paying,as a result of me saying she was no longer taking classes in school because it was in school time and she didn't want to miss lessons any more as it's her GCSE year)
got petrol; checked tyres
priced up the Vallicats on webuyanycat.com

Jo - some schools won't accept home baking due to nut allergies, other food allergies, unspecified levels of kitchen hygiene. The correct reply when met with smug PTA types like that is - 'well I COULD stay at home and live on benefits and sponge. I have more self respect than that!'
costume - rice krispie warts, attached with eyelash glue, black tape on tooth, raggy clothes & messy hair et voila! Mr Twit!Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016
Thank you Honey Bear0 -
Hey, HRH has come to mingle with her loyal subjects! Nice to 'see' you lovely... Fingers crossed DS is home tomorrow as planned and life can get back to normal in the Piggy household.
Re xmas - what about some other tech-type gadets that he might be into that arent so expensive? MP3 player? Phone? etc or what about CDs? Books? Clothes? They dont have to be anything pricey, just stuff you know he'd like?
KAZ - woo hoo on the weight loss - Im struggling to lose 2 stones!!! Check YOU out!! WTG mrs...
MAX - hugs for you hun - hope everything goes well
:hello: lurker toots

Nice!! On both counts....
I was thinking along the lines of Mike Teevee - cowboy type ensemble, with a golden ticket and bar of chocolate... but Mr Twit :rotfl: love it...
As far all the Mrs La-dee-da's Id need to change it to something like this... 'well I COULD stay at home and live solely off my husbands handouts, however...... 'Sometimes lurking, sometimes posting, but always flying

... life has been a bit mean to him ....I gave his injection this evening and he was saying I dont want to have it, I dont want to have it .. so I said.. but it is already done!! lol... so it obviously didnt hurt at all
.. silly boy!
Not entirely mean - after all, he has ended up needing injections from a Mum who is already an expert in stabbing her children with GH - so he hasn't had you learning how to do them.I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.Yup you are officially Rock n Roll0 -

Morning everyone! Here's my to do list for the day. Plenty of time as had to cancel aerobics and creche cos DDs still full of cold.
Friday - Master Bedroom & Landing
Level 1
[STRIKE]Check fire alarms are working[/STRIKE] They sure are! They go off every time I boil water:mad:
[STRIKE]Remove and wash bed linen.[/STRIKE] Did at weekend
Level 2
Dust surfaces & make sure no cobwebs..
[STRIKE]Vacuum mattress before replacing with fresh linen.. do you need that winter duvet yet?[/STRIKE] Done at weekend
15 minutes floordrobe clearance
Level 3
[STRIKE]Vacuum floors in bedroom and on landing[[/STRIKE] Did on Wednesday with DDs room and bathroom - no point dragging hoover up three times for such a tiny bit of floor!
Sort one area of clothes or linen storage making sure only what should be in there is, anything that's had it's day or doesn't belong there is removed
HH Me time - whatever you like - soak in a bath - get your nails done etc.
Extras
- Time for that Friday fling, go on grab a bag and clear that clutter
- Put away those summer clothes from someones cupboard and get out the winter woollies.. don’t store anything that is past its best! Make a list of things you need to buy!!
- clean out that airing cupboard!!!!!! get rid of those things you don't need.. use dead towels as cleaning cloths etc.. be ruthless!!!! you REALLY don't need that 'thing' you've saved for 10 years.. 'just in case' Def need to do this!
- Check house for places where draughts are getting in.. doors, windows etc and see if there are ways to stop it!
Plus:
Wash and dry a load
Put away shopping when delivered
[STRIKE]Do accounts[/STRIKE]
Quick wipe of kitchen
Prepare dinner for tonight0 -
