  • Evening ladies,
I haven't done much today other than the dailies.
I am exhausted after work cos I have taken another team on to manage and I don't know if I'm coming or going.
Cat number 2 isn't well. She is 11

Took her to the vets tonight with DH and they have admitted her for tests. We are both really upset.
It's either diabetes or kidney problems. I feel like such a rotten 'mother' in that she should have gone sooner.
I kept wondering if I was imagining it. It's difficult when there are 3 cats cos you dont know who is eating what, and this cat has always been lazy with a light appetite. hey ho.
    We'll see what tomorrow brings....

    Well done Juliejim

Self indulgent post coming up, feel free to skip by.

Been to see diabetic nurse today, good news

    1. I don’t have 13lbs to loose any more, I only have 6lbs to go,
    2. I don’t have to have any more blood tests till end of November, then it is likely it will only be 6 monthly to ‘keep an eye on you’
    3. I don’t have to take metformin any more
    4. As I am still in the ‘at risk’ category, I agreed to and was given a flu jab.

So I am well chuffed, sig changed.

    Washing in off the line

DS3 should be home tomorrow... YIPPEE!!!!!!!!! I am blooming knackered!!!! I am still hobbling about from being pregnant, my back and hips are agony and I could sleep for 1000 years!

For his birthday present DS1 wants.... a washing machine!.. ooooooooookkkkkk......... how many 20 year old would say that? He did say he understands why I have not been able to get him a present as yet.. with being in hospital for the greater part of the last 2 weeks! And he graciously said I am allowed to gt him a super-duper christmas present.. erm.... no.. I dont think so! lol

Christmas wrapping paper order arrived and the books for the children, and the red Wii I got for the girls.. they have a wii and a pc between the 3 of them so just stocking fillers for them now. I need main presents for the boys.. and I cant bulk DS3s stuff out with sweets now.. :( .. so I may be totally stuck!

OH has loaded the DW twice, cleared and wiped the table, mopped the squeak half of the kitchen, hung out 2 loads of washing (I put machines on before I went out this morning) and spent the day being terrorised by Squeak lol.. Her new game is climbing into things.. boxes, shelves, wash baskets, drawers (after emptying the contents on the floor!! lol) .. she is rather cheeky!

Hospital at 11ish in morning so I need to refill the changing bag, reload WMs, fold 4 loads of laundry and I may even get a far as the shower before bed.

  • piggers i am in absolute awe of you! how you manage to keep your head with so many different things go on i do not know!

glad DS3 is on the mend and DS1 has his head screwed on re the birthday present but rofl about the xmas present.

there are diabetic chocolates but i think they are alot more expensive than the normal stuff just like the dairy free stuff. dont know how old he is but still stuff like a nice pen, notebook etc might work?

    Diabetic chocolate is disgusting.. :(

The worst thing for him is he was severely lactos intolerant as a baby which he slowly outgrew by the time he was about 8.. then he gets hammered with this at 12.. life has been a bit mean to him :( He is 13 in March... more computer game age.. but they are so expensive for so little! I think he has to have the laptop he really wants TBH.. wonder if I can conjure a freebie.. again! DD2 wants a blackberry but I found a samsung one 1/4 the price!

I gave his injection this evening and he was saying I dont want to have it, I dont want to have it .. so I said.. but it is already done!! lol... so it obviously didnt hurt at all :p.. silly boy!
