Hey flyfolk, sorry for the duplicate post earlier - I was rushing this morning, and didnt hang around long enough to notice I had done it - whoops!

Anyway - happy birthday to Pigpen DS - valli has banners if you need them :D hope other DS is home soon and all other sproglets are well.

Well done on the new jobs!! See, they are like buses!! All come along at once...

:hello: returners, lurkers, newbies and of course Toots and LL

Cant remember what else... sorry x But my best wishes are there if you need them :D

Came straight home from work and started mincing the gardens again - did the front lawn this time and dug out my path in the back garden which leads to the driveway etc, from underneath a HUGE fuschia bush which I swear, is trying to take over the world.

However, its all looking rather presentable now, even if I do say so myself.

Off to take in my 3 loads of washing from the line which is beautifully dry and includes all the bedding, so I best get on with actually flying indoors now!!!

Oh yeah - and must feed the sproglet...

    See you later xx
:)Sometimes lurking, sometimes posting, but always flying:)

    Well done, congratulations

I'm supervising guitar practice and making advanced paper planes. I'll be clearing the mess up later.
  • Juliejim - congrats on the job! :j:beer: I know you were feeling really fed up, and you must be so relieved :)

KazW - well done! Only 6lbs to go - you must be so proud of yourself :j I need to take a leaf out of your book, but I just can't stay motivated :o

Seafarers - are they really THAT big? Beds are made quite strong, surely? Otherwise, did you say that the spare bed can be a single? You could leave it as a single, and offer them your room. After all, you can't expect them to sleep in a single bed ;)

Ok. Dinner cooked and scoffed. I need to feed the dog, and then I am going to chill in front of the TV. I have a very busy day tomorrow. I am working for nearly 10 hours, and have 7 children in the afternoon  Take away pizza tomorrow night, I think! Not much flying will be done tomorrow! i will catch up at the weekend :p
  • well i had a fun afternoon! again!

my parents and i share a car (well its their car and i get to use it when i need it) and this morning i had it for the school run but my dad needed it in the afternoon so i picked up DS2 and went to my dads, collected him and drove back to mine to get dropped of.

so we are driving along quite happy, all 3 of us chatting when all of a sudden BANG!! the front passenger window shatters throwing glass all over my dad.

the council were cutting the grass beside the road and a rock got thrown up shattering my window! after stopping to get the glass all out the window and to check that DS2 was ok (he was white as a sheet!) we spoke to the council worker and got his boss' number, he told us that on that one section of road this week its the 3rd window thats been smashed on a vehicle this week!!!!

DS2 keeps telling me "mummy window smashed, smashed car" so he is still shaken up by it. it could have been so much worse. my dad always has the window down on the car but today he didnt. if he had actually put the window down that rock would have went right into the side of his head and quite possibly killed him. why he didnt put the window down i do not know but someone was watching out for him! the rock bounced off the window and the central shatter point was right next to his temple.

anyway im about to go take in a load of washing off the line before it gets damp and tidy my kitchen. 3 different meals cooked from scratch in a tiny kitchen! no worktop space left at all!

then im having a glass of wine. think i deserve it after today.

So hot here again. It was 25 degrees when we did our Nordic walking this afternoon. We went around the Country park and it was lovely. To the pub afterwards for a cold drink.

    Juliejim. Congratulations.
  • yeah Good Intentions the spare bed can be left as a single so Im having that and they can have my bed. Im very overweight but her DH is heavier than me so whilst I know it holds mine and DH's weight ok in double mode I dont want them to have the embaresment if it does break. I know it probably wont happen, but Ive gone with the mattress isnt very comfy when its in double mode (which is true) and Ive told them that they will be in my bed. didnt mention the weight side of things, just told them it was easier for me to sleep on it and for them to have my bed.

I do actually need to get round to buying another mattress for that bed as its going to get alot of use over the next couple of years so i dont want it to be uncomfy for anyone that does sleep on it in double mode. its 2 single foam mattresses from ikea at the moment so will just buy another 2 so that its nice and comfy when people stay.
