Buyers not being in for couriers

thats quite a sweeping statement
for example if a courier scans an item as attempted delivery or whatever
then thats the data the customer service works from
It appears to depend on who is running your local Citylink depot as to what quality of service you'll get. Our local Citylink depot changed to a different one. Previously the service was awful, with several cases of Citylink lying saying that they'd attempted to deliver and left a card, when no such thing happened.
This is a very common occurrence. http://www.reviewcentre.com/reviews93418.html
The new depot seems better, and we've actually received some items from them.0 -

well i had similar last xmas
Amazon order updated as delivery attempted (twice) while i was home
contacted Amazon and told then to cancel the order
order showed up the next day so i jhust took it anyway and told them I would take the order
Its a 50+ mile round trip to Citylink(used to be a 10 minute walk!) so its not worth it for me
but everyoe has good and bad storys to tell with all the couriers0 -
I can't be doing with seller who just says 'courier (other)' or whatever. I don't want to buy and find they use a courier whose depot is 25+ miles away and isn't open on a Saturday anyway. Plus some couriers are 'tards who don't bother using my clearly indicated parcel box.0

I've found that usually sellers are quite good at telling you which courier they're likely to use if you "ask a question".0 -

eBay could definitely make it easier for sellers to display exactly who they use, rather than just ParcelForce or "other courier". You can put the details elsewhere in the listing of course, but it would make more sense for it to be in the P&P section. They deem him their worst enemy who tells them the truth. -- Plato0 -
For the past few years we've sent via Interlink Express. We're currently trialling Yodel as they are, for volume sending, dirt cheap.0

Anybody has anything bad to say about UPS? I must say I haven't been on the receiving end so can only judge by what've sent with them but never had any complaints from my buyers*touch wood* and they've so far delivered next day without fail*with a very good tracking* and have in general come across as very smart and professional.0

It has a unique serial # with instructions to the courier to input that into their computer as proof of delivery. Obviously that requires 'thinking'0 -

it doesnt matter what you decide
its down to the courier and their contract
its a box with a number on it
thats not a signature0
